Great hotel
I've stayed twice and love this hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the rooms are excellent, especially the suites.

excellent manager!
When I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted warmly. Unfortunately, the room I was staying in had poor wi-fi signal. I went to the front desk and explained that if they couldn't help me with that, I could not continue my stay because I rely on internet to stay connected to my business when travelling. The guest clerk had the manager, Armando Lizzarraga Rios, address my problem. They then moved us to a better room that had excellent wi-fi connectivity. The next morning, we came back from breakfast and found a wonderful fruit basket with Armando's apologies and best wishes. I can say that I never have had better service at a hotel and would always recommen this hotel heartily to my friends.

EARLY SPRING BREAK
EL CID MARINA IS A WONDERFUL RESORT TO STAY AT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU PREFER A QUIETER VACATION. WE TRAVELLED THERE WITH MY 82 YEAR OLD DAD, AND HE REALLY ENJOYED HIMSELF AS WELL. THE RESORT IS VERY WELL KEPT, THE STAFF SPEAK ENGLISH QUITE WELL, AND ARE VERY ACCOMMODATING.THE FOOD IS VERY GOOD AT THE POOL RESTAURANTS. THERE IS A QUICK SHUTTLE SERVICE TO GET YOU DOWN TO THE SHOPS AND MARKETS CLOSER TO TOWN, AND MANY CHOICES OF LOCAL EATERIES. HOWEVER, IF YOU CHOOSE TO STAY AROUND THE RESORT THERE IS A MARKET WHERE YOU CAN GET MOST THINGS. COFFEE AND WATER IS SUPPLIED TO THE ROOMS, HOWEVER, THEY DO CHARGE A SMALL FEE FOR THIS. WE WERE ALWAYS HELPED WITH ANY NEEDS, MEALS WERE GREAT AND THE OCEAN VIEWS ARE WONDERFUL.

IF YOU HAVE SEVERAL ITEMS TO BUY, FIND ONE MERCHANT THAT CAN SUPPLY MOST OF WHAT YOU NEED AND BARTER A FULL PACKAGE PRICE, WE SAVED OVER $500 PESOS DOING THIS, AND IF YOU ARE GOING TO COOK MOST OF YOUR MEALS, LIKE WE DO, SHOP AT THE BIG GROCERY STORES, SOME ITEMS ARE 2 - 3 X CHEAPER.

El Cid Marina is one of the very best...
My wife, CC and I just returned from a wonderful stay at the El Cid Marina (23-27 Feb). We are very frequent travelers to Mexico; usually visiting P.V., Mexico City or Cancun but our stay here in Mazatlan far exceeded all our expectations! Noteworthy is that the staff is very well-trained and professional and the food/wine was superb. We had chosen a 1-bedroom, All-inclusive, Elite package and were not disappointed! I would highly recommend this fine resort to all travelers interested in a high-end experience – it was so good, we plan on returning in 3-4 weeks!. The Marina was beautiful, safe and friendly -- and again -- the food was the best we have had in Mexico.

Perfect Everytime
We absolutely love this hotel. The staf is fantastic, the rooms are wonderful, the food is great. This was our 5th year and we will retun again. Can't say enough great things about the El Cid Marina.

Home away from home
We have stayed at this hotel several time a year for many years. It seems to always get better. It is convenient to town but far enough away so that you are not bothered with traffic. In addition to the wonderful service and rooms, the fishing is just a few steps away and has always been top notch! The captains do the very best to always find you the best fishing spots. The boats are clean and well supplied. As is obvious, we rate this hotel at the very highest level. We almost hate to share our view because we would like to keep this wonderful place a secret!

My Mazatlan Thanksgiving at El Cid Marina
I've been to Mexico's gulf coast, Cancun, Islas de Mujeres and more but Mazatlan was a pleasant surprise for me and my husband to spend our Thanksgiving together. El Cid Marina is more of a 3 or 4 star hotel (we had expected more of an upscale hotel & suite) but the people who greeted us, managed our needs and represented the hotel were amazingly courteous, fun and great hosts. The Spa was at another El Cid resort so the amenities were spread between other resort by El Cid (which we didn't like at all - we presumed all of our ammentities would be at our location). However, the weather was great and we would return again now that we have a better sense of what to expect. The pool bar had the best coconut shrimp. The 600 dollars in coupons were a bust - most of them couldn't be used and none were worth the attempt.

This trip was about R&R for my husband and I. The hotel had multiple pools and a private beach. We were happy just laying in the sun and drinking pina coladas.
