The Westin Resort and Spa Cancun

Friendly staff, good restaurant options. The all inclusive is a good deal if you drink and plan on at least 2 meals at hotel

My boyfriend and I had a great time here...it was so peaceful and relaxing...everyone was so sweet and attentive...I would definitely go back again!

Make sure you select the upgrade to the Royal Beach Club. You'll be rewarded with an extra large room with a great view of either the lagoon or the ocean. The club is separate from the main hotel with its own beach and pool areas. You also are treated to complimentary "continental" breakfast with plenty of food choices and a complimentary cocktail/happy hour with as many drinks as you want and plenty of appetizers! Top it off with free Internet and you cannot beat it! The hotel is well away from the crazy hotel zone but restaurants and clubs are easily accessed via bus which runs 24/7! You are also located at the beginning of a great walkway that extends along the lagoon for walkers and cyclists for about 6 kilometers and ends at a great beach location.

Overall it is ok. However the resort is obviously under-staffed. Any service request would take a while simply because there were not enough people working for guests. Sea-view rooms are very noisy during the night - probably due to improper design of balcony and/or the door. It is not sound-proof at all. Swimming pools are great.

We have been here numerous times before and the service conintues to be excellent. They sometimes seemed a bit slow at the lunch hour but the employyes are working hard, it is not because they are wasting time, but maybe the hotel needs to hire a few more folks. It is a great location at the far end of the beach unless you want to be close to shopping and discos.

if you like a quiet place with great views, a fantastic deal in the royal beach club, a very helpful staff and a fine room, this is the place. if you are bothered by ticky-tacky stuff such as a lamp that does not work, a balcony chair that is broken, a tv that has poor sound quality, etc., this is not the place. maintenance is not a word that means much here. its staff spends too much time at the other westin property, the lagunamar which is a time share hot spot. we will return because i can deal with a broken balcony chair.

The hotel doesn't seem to have a manager, or trained staff. They are very confused with any request. For 3/7 nights, we had no housekeeping services!!! When they came, they forgot to bring towels, or shampoo, or soap! The pool towels were a treasure to be hunted! The pools were good, the ocean is beautiful, but for the same price, there's got to be sth better nearby! Average kitchen service by the beach was 45 minutes!Oh well!
