extra night in cancun
flights were not working out like we wanted so we moved from our resort to this Marriott Courtyard by the airport for one last night. The pool area and hot tub were great and quite. Enjoyed them as much as we did our expensive resort. Food options were limited outside of the hotel but dinner at the hotel was a good as any meal we had the whole week before. If it was by the beach I would stay here the whole time.

Close to Cancun Airport
We booked this hotel because it's 8 minutes from the airport, on a free shuttle that runs every 30 minutes. We also liked the free wireless and the hotel restaurant offered a menu that was extensive for the size of the restaurant. The hotel is fairly new and is very well maintained. Everyone who worked there was pleasant and helpful. The price was certainly right. If you don't have a car, It's not convenient to shopping or entertainment.

Limoncello restaurant in the Cancun Hotel Zone has excellent Italian food, with outdoor dining on the lagoon. Ask for Juan. He's a terrific waiter.

Just what we needed
Airfare was lower if we stayed in Cancun a day longer than originally planned. This was a great place to do that overnighter and the shuttle to the airport was very convenient and timely. We had good food, (a little pricey but good) and the facility and staff were great. We took advantage of the pool too. Nice atmosphere.

Taxis price their fares at 1-4 people for a certain rate so if you are only 2 people it is cost effective to find another couple to split the taxi. Not always convenient but cost effective.

travel day hotel
We stayed at this hotel the night before our flight home. We had been at an all inclusive for the prior week. Rather than pay for an extra day just to travel we opted to overnight here. It was very nice and included the airport shuttle.

Perfect position for people over-nighting from the airport
We needed a place close to the airport as we were flying out the next day. Whilst the position was of paramount importance we also wanted it to feel as though we have started the holiday and did not want an endurance test. The hotel was great value for money and the breakfast 10/10.

Would recommend lower rooms, because I had one on the 4th floor and it was moldy smelling.

This hotel was absolutely perfect for us
Just needed a one night before we flew out the next morning. It really exceeded our expectations and we wish we had a little more time. Breakfast was really good, great selection. room service was fast and staff was super nice. Only suggestion, get a scale to weigh bags for guests heading to the airport. On and the beds and pillows are so super comfy.

Stranded in Cancun
We stayed there one night before our overseas trip and loved it. On our return, we missed our connecting flight to the US and turned to the Marriott for our unexpected 3 day delay. They gave us the same internet price we originally had. Can't imagine any other hotel as perfect as this one, especially as close to the airport as it was, with free shuttle.

Short drive from hotel
Go to Playa del Carmen instead of Cancun proper. They have vastly overbuilt Cancun but Playa still retains a bit of the charm the Yucatan used to offer 20 years ago.
