Ryad Mogador Gueliz

Très bon hotel. Seul point négatif : l'hotel est situé dans une zone peu habitée et/ou fréquentée. Ce qui a pour conséquence qu'il est très difficle de trouver un taxi qui vous ramene à l'hotel depuis le centre ville (ou alors le prix de la course est multiplié par 5 - on nous a demandé 50 dirahms alors qu'une course vaut +/- 12 dirahms).

This looks really posh and fancy on the outside, but is on par with a 3-4 star inside. It is located about 5-10 minutes taxi drive away from Djmaa El-Fna.

Good value for money hotel as it was only 10 minutes walk to the Guelitz "new" part of Marrakech with plenty of excellent modern designer shops and only 10 minutes by cheap taxi to the old town.

Very elegant large hotel with friendly staff and lots and lots of services that you won't find elsewhere. Dreamlike interior in the main hall and very rich breakfast! Although wireless internet is not offered in rooms, it did work from my room at a good speed. Bad thing is that the hotel is very far from city center. One has to take a taxi to get to the main areas of the city. Menara Airport is very close, though, which is a good thing. Another bad thing is that the hotel is not marked correctly on the Google Map and HotelClub doesn't specify the exact address! It is very hard to find it! Luckily it is a large well-known building in Marrakech.

The hotel was nice enough, not 4 star as compared to other countrys think 3 star. Staff were friendly enough and the room was cleaned everyday. The beds are very hard but you do get used to after a bit. My only major problem was the location of the hotel. It was not the same as advertised on the website ( its about 1/2 mile West of the train station on Ave Hassan II ). So it makes it a long walk to Gueliz and further to the Medina.
