Scandinavia Hotel Venice

Despite Venice being a very easy place to get lost in, we had no problem finding Hotel Scandinavia. It was a 10 minute walk from where we got off the boat. The guy (don't know of he's the manager/owner or what) was very cheerful & very helpful, told us how to access free wi-fi, gave us a free map of Venice & drew us suggested walks. We were in room no 4 on the 2nd floor, the aircon was on which was great and the room was clean & decorated in old world Venetian style complete with Venetian chandelier. The bathroom was a bit in the old side but clean & had lots of towels & toiletries. It had a double & 2 singles for our family of 4. No view but we didn't intend looking out the window much, we just wanted to get out there! There was also a small fridge by the way handy for cold drinks. The view of the square outside from the landing is lovely. Breakfast the next morning consisted if cereal, juice, yoghurt, cheese, bread rolls, croissants, tea/coffee and tinned fruit (peaches & grapefruit I think). We would not hesitate to stay here again or to recommend it, it was great value, very friendly & above all a great location. It's so central, 10 mins walk to st marks square.

The hotel Scandanavia is in quiet lovely square just moments away from the hustle & bustle right between the Rialto and San Marco. The staff are friendly and helpful. The room very clean and comfortable with great modern bathroom. Only downside lots of stairs and no lift! Though they carry your bags up for you. We loved Venice!

El hotel es muy caro para lo que ofrece: un desayuno buffet escaso y malo, camas demasiado duras y estrechas y escasa información de la ciudad. El personal de recepción fue encantandor.

The location is great, a free breakfast is a plus...

The internet connection was terrible, however, the two main hotel staff both named andrea, were absolutely wonderful, they were always very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was minimal, but the food was still good. Personally, a little over priced as we went to a hotel which we thought was much better and it was 50 euros cheaper.

The hotel was dreadfully difficult to find as the directions given on the website weren't helpful. The complimentary breakfast and helpful staff were two definite benefits. Otherwise, it was an ok hotel for the price. There is no elevator, which made bringing our luggage down from the 6th floor quite unpleasant. The free wifi was generous but only worked sporadically and only if you sat on certain floors.

Estuvimos muy cómodos. Nos gustó el hotel por su ubicación, la amabilidad del personal y la limpieza de la ropa y del cuarto de baño. Todo un detalle el adelantarnos la hora del desayuno el último día. Qudamos muy agradecidos y muy satisfechos.

La situacion del hotel es muy buena, el desayuno escaso y pobre. Las habitaciones que dan al patio de luces muy malas, practicamente sin luz, sobretodo si te dan una habitacion en la primera planta.
