Riviera Hotel Venice

good staffs and service . I love the style and furniture in the room. And the buffet breakfast is excellent and the best compared with other hotels in my whole trip. But the twin room is a bit too tiny. I think the price is reasonable for this hotel.

It's amazing place for the young pairs as we are. Views from the upper floor to the night Venice are great. And if you are not so lucky to get the number with the view to the waters you can use the possibility of common balcony. The service is perfect. Morning breakfasts are varied and tasty. It's located on Lido - island that separated from the common part. But for us - it's a plus. It's only 15-20 min to the central Venice, but we'are getting quite and silence and beautiful sights instead the view of the neighbor building. Can recommend for all.

No airco and noisy, location is nice

The hotel was in a good location. Right near the vaparetto stop to venice and the airport. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The excellent and absolutely huge free breakfast just about made up for the shortcomings. The biggest problem was the noise. Which really wouldn't have been a problem at all if the air conditioning was availabe. We stayed in late May and it was warming up, but not uncomfortably. The airconditioning is only available during main summer months, but to keep the room cool you had to have the shutters all the way open to get a breeze. Not a problem during the day, but at night the buses coming and going and all the street noise was a huge problem. Then Italy won a big soccer match so the locals drove around honking horns and celebrating. Which was fun, until it went on for several hours. Then there was a crazy amount of noise coming from the bar across the street until 2 am. We got virtually no sleep in our 2 day stay, because the buses start around 5 am and make the whole room shake when they drive by. Not exactly the ideal way to end your 2 week trek through Europe. When we complained we were just told the air conditioning wasn't availabe. And if we were able to shut the windows, the noise wouldn't have been an issue at all. The hotel was a good price, and needed some updating and renovation, but everything was pretty clean.

This is an older hotel that has been beautifully restored. It is very quaint and quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would not recommend it for small children, though since it is small and does not provide amenities to entertain children. The location is great - only about 100 yards from the water ferry station. The village of Lido is really interesting also. The beach is about 6 blocks away and there are several lovely restaurants within a couple of blocks.

We didn't realise when we booked that the Hotel was actually on an adjacent island. That said, it was on the end of the main Grand Canal ferry route, and only took about half an hour to get to, from the train station ferry point. The Hotel itself is only 2 minutes from the ferry drop off. One of the charms of Venice is the ferry rides anyway. Only a few problems, being: no room fridge (many European rooms seem not to have them); computer use again costly at 6Euros per hour. Their computer didn't seem to get Internet access. Same cost for own WIFI use. One really nice gesture was that Reception provided us with a special breakfast bag as we had to leave really early in the morning.

Friendly front desk people. Breakfast was good with variety of food choice. Travel was easy to follow and hotel is just across the street from ferry landing. Restaurant choices were good in the area. Would stay @ this location again.

Its a very nice hotel in Lido island.Location was perfect when you get off the vapporette all you need to do cross the road and thats it.Hotel only 15 minutes far away from the San Marco.we have got very nice seaview.Staff was very helpfull and i can say trustfull as well.Breakfast was wonderful.If i go venice in the future definetly ill stay Riviera hotel again.
