Holiday Inn VENICE - MESTRE MARGHERA

The room was very nice and confortable. Venice was some distance away from hotel, they did had a shuttle but we had to pay and there is a schedule. We were going on a cruise and since the shuttle could not drop us off so we had to pay for a taxi about $60. I paid for internet service and still did not get the service in the room. Since it is contracted out the hotel could not do anything about a refund. It probably would have been less expensive to stay in a hotel in Venice.

The only free computer was at the front desk. The breakfast was nice but cost 11Euros. The shuttle to the island from the hotel was 8 Euros and was only available at certain times. To park the car at the hotel it was another charge. It was inconvenient to then go to the island and drag you suitcase with you as we many people did. This made us decide to check out in the morning as my husband got up early and used Orbitz to find a place on the island. It was the best decision we made!!

stay over night, no coffer maker, no refrig at 1st night, last night, the room was better, but still no coffer maker, also we thought with breakfast, but not included.

hotel staff was very unfriendly, rude and mean. they were not willing to help for anything and they charge for parking. booking i had was including parking but when we got there the refuse and said talk to [...].

Buona posizione, ambiente confortevole e pulito. Ottimo anche per trascorrere qulache week-end piacevole

Hotel was nice, clean and quiet. Reception was rude to my husband when he asked for assistance with bus timetables and how to get to the airport. They were less rude to myself, however, did make me feel I was inconveniencing me. Other than that, the stay was good.

The hotel is very far from Venice proper. Public transport gets there, but the stop is still 10 minutes walk away. It's a clean hotel though.

Thought this hotel was near airport for early a.m. departure. We had a car so 15 minutes was okay, but a cab would have cost $50. Shuttle service to vaporetto to get in to Venice needed to be scheduled so no spur of the moment return to hotel. Nothing around hotel to buy a bottle of wine or to walk to dinner. Would not stay here again.

The motel facility was excellent, air conditioned rooms, very clean, large bath room, etc. Since we arrived late at night and left early the next morning we were not able to participate in anything else at the motel. A down side was the young lady at the desk was not very friendly or helpful. Since this was a first stay at this motel maybe others there are more friendly. Another down side is the location and the bus transportation to the motel. The bus line does not go all the way to the motel after about 10:00 - 10:30pm and we had to walk the last about 2 miles. We were told at the train station that busses ran all night to the motel. There needs to be more information about the location of the motel relative to the train station, air line and the port. Something should also be said about the means of transportaion there late in the evening.
