Viminale Hotel Rome

Réservation en janvier pour un séjour en juin dans cet hôtel donné pour 4 étoiles avec photos à l'appui. Personnel accueillant, mais ça s'arrête là. Chambre d'environ 2,50 m sur 3,00 m, porte du placard ne pouvant s'ouvrir de ce fait, climatisation pratiquement inexistante et de toute façon très bruyante, fenêtre fermant mal, bruit de couloir dès 7h30 le matin (ménage?). Et pour clore le tout, petit déjeuner déplorable, machine à café "américain" qui fourni un breuvage à base de café soluble et tiède de surcroît, un comble au pays de l'expresso, idem pour chocolat ou thé. Les chaînes d'hôtel 2 étoiles en France sont nettement meilleures bien qu'assez impersonnelle. Heureusement la visite de Rome nous a comblé.

A little further from a metro station than we originally thought it would be, but we still walked there with luggage, and it wasnt too bad. The common areas are nice and clean, and the breakfast (food and outdoore seating area) were awesome, the best of our 3 week trip! We arrived early, and did not expect to check in early, but they let us change clothes and get cleaned up in the lobby bathroom and held our luggage for us. BUT when we did get back to the hotel later that night, at like 11:00pm, our luggage was still sitting in the lobby, they had not taken it to the room, and we ended up having to take it up ourselves. Kinda of disconcerting to know our bags were sitting out where other people could get to them for 12 hours.

La stanza era minuscola, tanto che la TV era sul davanzale della finestra e, siccome era nascosta dalla tenda, ho creduto per molto tempo che non ci fosse. La colazione era buona e con buona scelta. Non avevano registrato la mia prenotazione, pagata all'origine. Però hanno rimediato.

Viminale hotel is good location, some of equipment in the room was broken, fridge didn"t work but who care? as long good location, air condition working, that is good enough

Yes tooth brush and tooth paste. Milk was terrible. The one staff dealing with breakfast tries to clean up the mess all the time after the guests in order to open up some clean tables- since the breakfast tables have a number of around 8 she works very anxiously. The breafast plates should be brought to a tray by the guests after they finish eating. By this token, the staff could concentrate on being more friendly rather than running around and just making noise as the guests eat. The noise and the unfriendliness of the breakfast staff was really disturbing.

I made a reservation for a single person room, but they actually gave me a room for two persons by accident. They asked me if I wanted to take a look at the "correct" room one day after which was pretty small, but they still let me stay in the bigger room for the same price anyway. The AC of the room I was supposed to get was actually broken and they only had a temporary electric fan. The room iself was clean and quiet. It was the same at another hotel in Florence so it might be a common thing in Italy, but one complaint I have is that when I asked them to keep my baggage for several hours, they asked me to place it in a common area where anyone can enter. Nothing bad happened in the end, but I didn't feel very safe about it.

未住過rome其他酒店，作不了比較。 就個人而言，房間及床(雙人)頗小但乾淨，有升降機，接待處及大堂算有體面(以3星來說)。早餐頗豐富有選擇。

On a deserted, dark, dirty street garbage piled up in front of next building at all times between two metro stations so at least a 15 minute walk to either difficult if older or have difficulty walking Wonderful breakfast and staff room spotless very small space immaculate bathroom

We stayed at the hotel in Rome's off season. The hotel is well located in that it's an easy walk to the bus station where one should go if one wants to get a seat most times of the day and the adjoining main train station which is good for airport transfers as well as excursions. Rome's two subway lines also connect at the station. The hotel staff is efficient if a bit restrained. There is a nice lounge with newspapers just off the breakfast room where the morning buffet is served. There is an abundance of food and an adequate number of tables all kept in fine order by a super-efficent woman who takes obvious pride in her work. An outdoor terrace is used in warm weather to supplement breakfast seating. Our room was on the fourth floor with a wonderful view. It was adequate in size with armoir storage,had a tv with limited reception,a desk and chair,no upholstered chairs or real seating area. The bathroom was modern,tiled in marble,had a shower(no tub)and plenty of towels and necessities. Water pressure and drainage were typical of that in older buildings.
