hotel propre et trés bien situé.Peut être pas les plus belles chambres ni la meilleure literie de Rome; mais par contre un personnel qui ne doit rien envier à un quatre étoiles.

I would stay here again if I went back to Rome.
The Saturnia was in a great location and easy to find with signs along Via Covour. The staff was very friendly and always on duty at the front desk. The room was very small, but that didn't matter because you shouldn't be spending much time in your room when you visit Rome. The continental breakfast was free and standard for ones I've seen across Europe.

Great location!
We drove up to the hotel, it was impossible to find a spot to park to drop off the luggage with all the people around the area. The hotel is on the 3rd floor, which means that you still have to walk up more stairs to get to your room if your not on the 3rd floor. There is an elevator though to go up to the hotel from the first floor, which was helpful. The room itself was nice and very spacious, the air conditioning worked great and the small TV. The room also had a nice closet with a safe inside, full size mirror, a desk, and nice bathroom. The location was great about two min. away from the Duomo, right in the middle of all the shops.

Exactly what we were looking for
Great customer service and everyone spoke English. About 3-4 blocks from the central train terminal. Can easy walk and safe neighborhood at night. Rooms were small--even by European standards, but suited our needs perfectly for this trip. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Quaint Hotel
Hotel is very close to Termini Station, within walking distance just down Via Cavour. About a 10-15min walk to the Coloseum. Quaint old hotel with very helpful and nice staff. No elevator, but no problem there a bell boy helped us up to the 2nd floor. Rooms are adequate, shared bathroom, but you have your own sink in the room. As I read from another review, if you are placed on the side of the hotel facing Cavour, it is very noisy. No worries for us though, we slept through all of it and actually liked to watch the hustle and bustle from our window. I think the rooms and location are adequate and a good value for the money we paid. Be aware, breakfast is included, but nowhere in Italy actually has a true American breakfast. Be ready for bread, jam, juice, coffee and tea. Hard boiled eggs if you are lucky!

Quaint Hotel on a Quiet Street
When we first got to the hotel at check-in time, the room was not ready. They were very apologetic and offered us a different room. This room was very large but very bland. The walls were a blank slate. We did not care since we had a lot of luggage and there was barely any walking space in the other rooms. We did have a problem with shower. It was so small you could barely fit in it. I am very petite and had trouble maneuvering around. The other problem was a large circle had been cut out from the window. We were on ground level and only a gate separated us from the street with the hole there. Fortunately, it was a quiet street but I still did not feel as safe as I would have liked to. The staff here was very helpful with directions. They spoke English well and were friendly. Breakfast was continental style but decent. The hotel is in a great location. We walked to the train station, Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, and Spanish Steps. In fact, we walked everywhere we could think of except the Vatican.

Dîner:
Short walk from hotel
There were lots of wonderful Italian restaurants within walking distance. My advice is to not eat in touristy areas. The food is not that good and it will be expensive. Our best meals were at small Italian pizza shops and cafes were most tourists did not go. All of the restaurants had someone who spoke English or were able to communicate otherwise.

Great service
The location is great, remember this is a 2 star hotel but the deserve more than that, they are remodeling everything, and the staff was very helpful with information such as where to eat, maps, how to get to places. The first day we stayed on the first floor and was a little noisy at night, the next day we complained and they immediately changed our room and even gave us an upgrade without paying any extra. The only thing is that there is no elevator. Breakfast it's fair for European standards.
