Flann O' Brien Rooms Rome

Chambre au dessus d'un pub irlandais ,donc tres bruillante.Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre la deuxieme nuit , mais l'hotel était complet. Nous avons eu une autre chambre très calme la troisième nuit dans un autre lieu. Il faut préciser que cette hôtel a 5 chambres au dessus d'un pub et 5 autres chambres dans un autre immeuble à 2 minutes.Il serait important de le préciser sur leur site internet.

Bien situé, accés surprenant (info pratique: en fait une annexe du restaurant Flann O'Brien, s'y adresser et ne pas chercher un Hotel), bon accueil, chambre jolie et propre, à recommander si le prix convient.

breakfast bar downstairs, close to alot of shopping, a short walk from the Metro subway, Mcdonalds Nearby, Offers free breakfast with rooms. Air conditioner fan wasn't working great, it kept shutting off after a few mins.

We had a wonderful experience at Flann O'Brien. The bilingual staff there are wonderful and willing to help you with anything you need without hesitation and with a smile. The "continental" breakfast was great. You sat down and were served by one of the friendly waiters or waitresses. The cappuccino, made at the bar right in front of you, was great and authentic. We stayed 6 nights in Rome and could not have been more pleased. Also, outstanding location! We were able to walk to most of the major attractions and many great restaurants.

We just got back from a rome vacation from Dec. 13th to the 20th...the hotel had an excellent location and we were able to walk to all the tourist attractions that we wanted to see. the hotel staff was friendly, the free breakfast wasnt anything special but was helpful... right around the corner from our hotel was two pizza places and they both had excellent pizza...they were friendly as well. also near the pizza shops was a snack shop with gelato and espresso among other things...making it easy to get bottled water at a reasonable price. the cleaning person was prompt and always had fresh towels and the bed made when we arrived back after a day of walking around the city. this room was small but good enough and had a tv fridge and safe in the room. the one thing they didnt have was an ALARM CLOCK so be prepared...luckly my cell phone is an international phone and i had a universal outlet adapter and used my cell phone as my alarm. also we had our return flight at 630am and we asked the hotel to get us a taxi, they called for us and set up a ride in which we were supposed to be out front at 4 am sharp we waited until 425am and he never showed so we had to go to the Via Nazionale to flag a taxi down at 430am which luckily we were able to make it to the airport in time. other than that i would recommend this room to people who just need the basics out of a hotel room.

I'm a single guy and I just needed a clean and affordable place to sleep and shower. This hotel was at a perfact location and they kept the room clean. I didn't spend much time at the hotel since the whole purpose of going to Rome is to enjoy the city. The hotel didn't offer much with TV options but they had WiFi which kept me up to date with the world. The complimentary breakfast was very good and I didn't return until late at night. The staff was excellent and very helpful.

Yes this hotel is above a pub but was extremely peacefully. The hotel staff were amazing. All very helpful and friendly. The restaurant was very reasonably priced and had a good variety. The breakfast was great and they even made up a take away breakfast for us on our last day as we left early to visit the Vatican. Most tourist attractions were around 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotel. Not only will I stay here again I will also recommend it to friends going to Rome

I stayed in Room 103 above the pub. The location was ideal for me, a short walk from the Roma Teminus and Republica Metro station. But this isn't a hotel, there's simply rooms attached to a pub. So don't expect hotel service. The staff seem to be from the pub. If you need anything you have to go to the pub and get their attention, in between them serving people at the bar. The room had no windows, well there was a 2x1 foot window above a locked door leading out to the roof I think. The room was cleanish, en-suite, TV with plenty of stations ( only found 2 English TV stations), safety deposit box and small chilled mini-bar. The air conditioning unit in my room didn't seem to work well but it was only 26 degrees or so outside so it was okay inside with no windows. At night, there was a lot of noise from various machinery/air conditioning units/fans etc outside. ( which was behind the hotel on various flat roofs ) I had brought foam earplugs which solved that issue. However there were about 4 mosquitoes in my room, and when I turned off the light to sleep they took turns biting me. I have 12 bite marks at the moment. I'd be worried about the same mosquitoes biting numerous guests and transmitting disease between them. There was also the red blood splattered remains of 5 other mosquitoes on the ceiling where other guests had the same problem. So I got no sleep whatsoever on my 2nd night there. If you must stay here then earplugs plus insect repellent are essential to make your stay tolerable. Also on the 2nd day the door leading to the rooms wouldn't open with the key. All signs of poor maintanence by the hotel.

Location service and quality. Perfect. I will definitely go back there.

Although there are rooms above the pub itself, we chose rooms at a separate building a block away on a side street (Via Firenze) because of previous cautions about noise from the pub and the main street (Via Nazionale). Due to travel we had two different stays involving four different rooms, some of which can be rather tiny. All were well kept and comfortable with clean bathrooms. 102 had a cute balcony. The staff is great and man be able to show you different rooms. You are right in the middle of Roma and we felt very safe. The pub itself wasn't that loud and was fun although a bit more expensive than other places we ate.
