Dei Mellini Hotel Rome

Excellent hotel placé idéalement. Nous avons pu faire pratiquement tout à pied. Le petit déjeuner était très correct, les chambres confortables, la personnel accueillant. Nous sommes ravis.

We had been to Rome a year ago but wanted to try a different hotel this trip. We found Dei Mellini Hotel and It was situated between the Vatican and Piazza del Popolo exactly where we wanted to be. The room was great and the service was incredible!! They took great care of us and made our 2nd trip to Rome very special!

the most perfect hotel in the most perfect city. great location, beautiful room, the roof terrace was a god send after a day walking Rome, loungers, steamer chairs as well as tables and chairs. Staff were fabulous, nothing too much trouble. highly recommended. if you stay anywhere stay here!!!

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly & helpful and the free breakfasts were way above average. The room was large & well maintained. We would stay here again for sure!!!

It's a very good, well situated hotel and nice staff. Close to everything, bus, restaurant, shopping and , walking distance to the Vatican, Close to grocery store. I will recommend this hotel to my families and friends. I will come back again to this hotel.

We spent two nights at the hotel which we picked for it's proximity to the Vatican. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was free and was quite good including eggs, bacon, cold cuts and a variety of cereals, breads and fruit. The hotel did not include internet access even though the room price would easily have covered the cost of providing it. Rome is quite confusing with lots of turns and crooked streets. Getting anywhere takes some energy. There is no restaraunt in the hotel so you need to plan your meals somewhere else. The desk clerk recomended a "nice" restaraunt that was not 'too' expensive. It was nice, but was actually pretty pricy. Buyer beware of recommendations. The lighting in the room was quite dim and uncomforatable for reading. This might just be an European issue, but I find it disturbing. All things considered, the room was acceptable as a clean room in a safe neighborhod was a prime requirement. NOTE TO ORBITZ. This data entry box is terrible to work with.

in the prior ten days, as we traveled with a group tour from London to Paris, with stops also in Heildelberg and Lucerne, we had much to compare to. My wife and I agreed Del Mellini was our favorite, though we had stayed at a Hilton, the Monopol in Lucerne and the Crown Plaza Republique in Paris. The DM staff was professional, helpful and friendly and the breakfst was excellent. We enjoyed the rooftop terrace for wine in the evening, Room was very clean and comfortable. The #87 bus stopped close by, or you could walk to famous sites along the Tiber, which is very close. I would recommend it to my friends, which is my highest recommendation.

Hotel was in an excellent location, great breakfast, the room was comfortable and our bed was turned down every night. The only black mark was that the staff gave us false information on the last day regarding transportation to the airport.

This was a good hotel centrally located and great value for the money since it was within walking distance to the Vatican and an easy bus trip to the Colliseum and other Rome attractions. Some good reatuarants within walking distance. Friendly, helpful staff and a great free breakfast. The room was clean, the bathroom was fine, my only fault was the A/C was not very effective and the temperature in August was upper 90's. Overall a great value for the money.
