Condotti 29 Town House Suites Rome

The hotel was not at all what we had expected.I had contacted the hotel to make sure we had a first floor room or one near the elevator since my husband has trouble walking. The hotel opened onto an alley way and required one flight of stairs to get to the elevator and another flight of stairs after going up one floor on an antiquated elevator. The man who was in attendance when we got there was very acommodating and helped us with the luggage, but he was only there from 7am to 1 pm. There was no one to help us with dinner reservations or any other info on Rome. There was no restaurant but he graciously fixed us juice, coffee and a roll each am. We were given keys to the hotel and left on our own. We had already booked a tour of Rome but were on our own for dinners, etc. The good feature was the location..about 3 blocks from the Spanish steppes and in the midst of high-line stores for shopping. The telephone in our room was not connected and the sattelite TV wasn't working although there was good reception for the Italian stations. There was no reception area, just a small room with tables for breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had relatively modern facilities but the bedroom was small. The man who was our only contact called someone (presumably the owner) to have our questions answered and he did provide us with the loan of a clock since we needed a wake-up call. He did his best to meet our needs but not having anyone available except for a few hours in the mornings was disappointing..The write-up on the internet mentioned available parking (I can't imagine where)a concierge,gift shop, night club, restaurant, tour desk, room service and a doctor on call..All this information came from Hotel detail information on the internet..an exaggeration to say the least..Please update your info on the hotel..Fortunately my husband was able to slowly make the stairs but this might not be the case with other travellers.The "dynamic team of staff" was a very nice young man who was only available in the mornings...

夜まで外はかなり賑やかだが、お買い物等にはロケーションは最高。 ホテルスタッフの対応も大変、良い。
