Atahotel Villa Pamphili Rome

Très bel hôtel, bien situé. Nous avons apprécié le service de navette de l'hôtel vers le centre historique de Rome. Le personnel était très disponible et toujours disposé à satisfaire nos demandes. Une adresse à recommander.

The hotel is situated in a location which requires about a 15 min taxi ride to/from the nearest subway station (8 to 10 Euros). Free shuttle is available, it runs every 1 hour until 10pm, however its capacity is limited to 26 passangers at a time. Advance registration is of essence. The staff is not particularly friendly, however, they responded to requests efficiently. The food is average, the breakfast quite monotonous with limited choice compared to other international hotels. The cleaning crews are quite noisy and over a five-day stay I was awoken at on two - three occasions around 8 am by various sounds they produced. Not a problem for early birds. Overall, my stay was satisfactory.

We went on a tour to Spain and Italy and visited Rome at the end of the trip. We tried calling the hotel number (given in the hotel website) from Venice the entire day but no one ever answered. We even called the customer care and they connected us to the hotel reception, still no one answered. After a long struggle and walking 1KM steep upslope with all our luggages we reached the hotel only to be met by the unfriendliest people on earth! The reception staff did not care for our presence. The hotel shuttle service was blocked all the time. We stayed there only for 2 days and we had to book way in advance for the shuttle. And it worked like a timetable routine and no where near a vacation! We paid 8 euros for the internet that we NEVER used. When we tried communicating the same to the reception staff, they were rude and spoke like they were accusing us of lying. Very far from the city center. Restaurant was way toooo expensive (28euros for one person - buffet) and the food consisted mainly of salads. Not worth the stay!

It is an older hotel located out of the central city. Beds were very firm and carpeting was worn, but clean. Shuttle is convenient, but often too crowded and only runs on the hour from the hotel. Breakfast reasonably good. Dinner also good, but a bit on the expensive side.
