Just Passing Through
For 4 stars, I'm not impressed...
The hotel was difficult to find--Google maps placed it wrong (though through no fault of Artis Hotel. The room was very nice, very clean, and the bed was very comfortable: a typical double bed (two singles alongside one another).Breakfast was disappointing. The hotel promises a "buffet" breakfast, and there certainly is as much as you would like, but the selection is far from impressive and all cold (save the coffee).Also the free wifi and internet is available ONLY in the lobby, with no real area designated for computer or internet use, which I found to be a major oversight.Additionally, I found several of the employees working at the service desk to be quite rude.Finally, unless you drive yourself, it's quite a trick to find the hotel--or to access both Ciampino and Fiumicino Airports. It's not nearly so easy or close as the hotel suggests. The neighboring grocery store, however, is helpfulFor 4 stars, I was disappointed, but with an [...] price, I am still satisfied.

A grocery store right next door and a restaurant down the street. Otherwise, deserted and/or residential.

Hotel Artis (Rome)
Hotel Artis is a very nice, clean, and comfortable hotel. The price is very affordable, and breakfast, internet and parking are included at no additional cost. The staff was helpful too. The only slight negative is the location--to get to the heart of the sightseeing part of Rome, you need to get on a bus (the stop is around the corner from the hotel) then on to the subway (1 euro) for a 30 minute trip. But we would definitely recommend this hotel!

Great deal
The hotel looks nice both inside and outside. The room we had was clean and modern. The bed was on the firm side but really comfortable. The AC was in good working condition and inaudible. Shower stall was a bit small but bathroom size was adequate. The hotel is located less than 9 miles from city center and the bus stop is a short walk away. The bus then stops at the metro station. Both bus/train cost 1 euro and each way took about 1 hour. I don't remember the hotel having a restaurant.
