Student On a Budget
Spacious and great value
The Hotel Centro is ideally located, less than a 5 minute walk from the Duomo and 10 from the Piazza della Signoria. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were incredibly polite and helpful. The only complaint is the walls are rather thin, so noisy neighbors could be problematic, but for the price it's a great quality!

Long walk from hotel
(a 'long walk' in florence is less than 20 minutes). The south bank of the river, near Santo Spirito, has some great restaurants that are more authentic and less expensive than those in the more tourist-oriented area near the Piazzas della Republica and Signoria.

The bathroom is separated ...
The bathroom is separated from bedroom (across the hall way). Enviroment is OK, and there is an internet shop nearby. Bedroom is clean, but the bed is non-stable. Good for one night stay. Short walk from may attractions.

Convenient, adequate for the money
Hotel Centro is conveniently located on the north side of the historic center. It is a plain hotel that is adequately comfortable for what it is. Only problem: room was supposed to have BBC/CNN, would was not there, and no effort was made to fix the problem. Friendly staff.

Short walk from hotel
Excellent restaurants nearby in the Central Martket area. Try Za Za's. Ten minute walk to the Uffizi. One of the tourist bus routes starts two blocks away.
