Apollo Hotel Athens

Hôtel très bien situé à proximité d'une station de métro. Certains commentaires mentionnent un quartier mal fréquenté... Aucun problème lors de mon séjour ! Personnel très accueillant et disponible. Petit-déjeuner très correct, complet (sucré - salé). Chambre sans luxe, simple, mais propre; on y a tout ce qu'il faut.. Bonne literie. Très bon rapport qualité /prix

Du bruit à cause de la circulation et de certains clients qui ne pensent qu'à eux. Il est écrit quelque part dans les commentaires que l'hôtel est situé dans un quartier "chaud" ; je n'ai eu aucun problème. Au niveau restauration, pas trop de choix. Vue magnifique sur l'Acropole depuis la terrasse où se trouve le restaurant.

The bad things first : the hotel is poorly located in a quarter giving unsafe impressions at night. Much noise come from the corridor through the room door. The goods things : rooms are clean and well equipped (airco silent and effective, TV, hairdryer...) The personnal is very friendly, there are tours organised in the city or to the islands, you can rent a car from the hotel desk, the terrasse with Akropolis view is a fine experience after a busy day. Breakfast is OK and so is the price !

The hotel was clean and warm, the breakfast was perfect. But the staff were really really helpful, from the top right down, they made me feel so welcome. I would definately go back again and wouldnt consider staying anywhere else. Excellent location, right near the metro and markets and fantastic value for money.

Sehr freundlicher und unkomplizierter Empfang. Beste Lage in der Nähe der Altstadt und trotzdem ruhig durch Doppelverglasung. Der kleine Balkon lädt zum Durchatmen am Morgen und nach der Heimkehr nächtens. Das Frühstück ist gut und ausreichend. Das Dreisternhotel ist blitzblank, einfach und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Alles da! Für Änglstliche und Vorsichtige gibt es einen Zimmersafe. Ich fühlte mich die 4 Tage dort sicher und gut aufgehoben. Wenn man will, kann man die familiäre Atmosphäre geniessen. Man ist aber nicht aufdringlich. Bei meinem nächsten Aufenthalt in Athen werde ich das Apollo wieder ansteuern. Das Preis Leistrungsverhältnis ist exzellent. (4 Nächte inkl.Linienflüge von Österreich aus etwas über 400 Euro)

The hotel is ok, the staff is nice, the buffet breakfast is very good. The internet in the main lobby is good but in the room, the signal is very weak. The view from the 7th floor is good cause we have a view of the Acropolis and you can take a drink while watching the lighted Acropolis at night. The metro station Methaghourio is very close.

The shortcomings are not the fault of the staff, all of whom were extremely helpful and polite. The neighborhood is not good; there are no restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, or any other creature comforts nearby. The only thing the neighborhood boasts is the Metro station. The rooms are sparse, but clean, and have everything one would require from a hotel. I will say, however, that two twin mattresses pushed together do not a "queen" bed make.

The staff was very helpful and let us use their printer and fax machine. Wifi in room was weak but functional. Beds not very comfortable. A/c is set at 25 degrees. It is on a busy street, but double-paned balcony made the noise tolerable. Breakfast was more than enough to fill us up. Very close to metro. Room was clean but had a funny smell. The area seemed to be a lot safer than Omonia etc.

Very helphul, supportive and smiling staff. Very good cleaning everyday, good enoug breakfast. I could not say it is 3 stars tough, twin beds are a bit small and uncomfortable. Overal we are happy to stay with my daughter...

This is a good place to stay if you are travelling on a budget. The hotel is very close to the metro and is within walking distance to the sights. The room was clean and there was a computer in the lobby with internet (which they didn't charge). You get a simple breakfast in the morning. What more do you need if you are looking for a budget hotel? True, the room was basic and I think the statement "superior 3* hotel" in the description is rather tongue in cheek. The area it is in was grim and a little seedy. I was disappointed with this at first but then I realised that much of Athens was like that. There is a 5* hotel very near by and so they are apparently not so worried by the area. For the price paid, I think it was good value!
