Mercure Paris Arc de Triomphe Wagram

Très bon hôtel. Propre, petit-déjeuner copieux. Bien situé à 150 m de l'Arc de Triomphe. Bon accueil. Pas cher...si on réserve en dernières minutes.

While staying at the Mercure hotel, rue Brey in Paris in March 2011, I had the surprise to have my room "visited" during my absence and some valuables robbed. The first feedback from the hotel staff was that the doors were easy to open, and the second one was that it was my responsibility and that it would not be covered by their insurance !!! So not a great place to recommend.

The location of the hotel was very convenient to all metros, train, bus, airport shuttle, restaurants and shops at Champs-Elysee. The room and bathroom was a bit small, but it was comfortable enough for sleeping and a clean shower. The free continental breakfast which had croissants, all types of bread, cheese, ham, salami, cereal, OJ, milk, coffee, tea, bottle water, and fruits was a great deal. The free wi-fi was slow but useful to have access to. The receptionists were very helpful with all your needs.

The hotel was nice and in a great location near the Arc de Triomphe. The rooms were clean and the beds were quite comfortable. The rooms were very small as they are throughout Europe. Most of the staff was unfriendly and did not go to any effort to be helpful. That was a disappointment. If not for the front desk staff, I would recommend this hotel.

Pleasant room with street views. Bathroom is very modern and of a good size. The bed was quite comfortable and the overall room size was surprisingly ample for a small hotel on a Paris side street. The location was ideal for those who like the Champs-Elysees district.

The Mercure is an ideal location for exiting France via Paris. I came into Paris via train from Normandy in the early morning, arriving at Gare St. Lazare. Walk thru the doors to subway Gare St. Lazare Metro station and take line #3 toward Pont de Levallois Becon. At the second station (Villiers), get off and change to the #2 line toward Porte Dauphine. At the fourth stop, Charles de Gaule Etoille, take the Arc exit--escalator!!! You're within an easy 5 minute walk of the Mercure.Drop bag off (wheelie, of course!)and enjoy your day in Paris (buy a one-day subway pass!) Small, immaculate room. The next morning, walk out the door and within 3 minutes is the big Air France bus (make sure you have cash, @ 14 Euros) waiting to take you to CDG. Stress free!!! Location, location, location!!!!
