UN Central Apartments

well i thought i might get killed in my bed. I came in the front door and there was a pizza upside down at the bottom of the steps and rubbish in the stairwell. I can live with that but inside the room it was dirty and smelly. It was very convenient to the UN which is where i was but isnt worth it as i felt very unsafe. There was a lot of noise in the other apartments (Or somewhere) and yelling. It was a Thursday night. I would not stay here again.

Well the best thing would have to be the location in Manhattan. Other that when we arrived we were greeted by garbage in front of the place and garbage bags holding the "security gate" open. The stench of garbage filled the halls and greeted us everyday the entire trip. I had to purchase incense for the apartment and the hallways. Be prepared to walk steep flights of stairs so definitely not handicapped accessible. I would not recommend children staying here because there was no cold water the first day because property management never informed us in advance that you have to run the water at least 30 minutes before using to get hot water. When we opened the door the place was not clean and was not maintained at all. The comforters and sheets did not look clean we ended up buying sheets and blankets. The windows were all dirty, every wall had skid marks and needed to be painted. the blinds were broken to name a few.... When you are traveling all day you do not expect to arrive to something like this, especially for the money spent.

Good localization, but there's no elevator. Only for business time and with no luggage.

In NYC for the Yankees-Red Sox game and booked this room because it looked great online. That's the end of the good news. With the exception of the working air conditioning and the proximity to the Amish Market, this hotel was a disaster. The building literally smelled like garbage. Our rooms were not ready for us at check in. Floor tiles were loose, bathroom doors would not latch closed, the linens were stained and moderately laundered at best, and the walls appeared as heavily marked as the boards of an ice hockey rink. Maybe we got what we paid for, but I will NEVER stay at this place again.

This is one of those hotels where there is no reception area, you just hit the buzzer and they give you the code to enter your room. On arrival to hotel the reception did not have the correct access code to enter the apartment, after four different codes and 35 minutes later, I was finally given the right code at around 1 am. After settling in, I was surprised to find the inner apartment window broken with a piece dangling dangerously and could easily cut someone, I called the hotel office and informed them of broken window. Now it was about 2am in the morning so I did not expect them to really be able to fix it then, I just wanted to make sure there were not going too charged me it. I was told that maintenance man will be in between 8 and 9 am to fix it, I came back only to find nothing had been done, I suspect no one came. The following morning, I called the office 30 minutes before my checking out to find out about broken window and put on hold and soon after clearly cut off after 25 minutes.

Dirty accommodation- no hot water, towels stained with BLOOD no clean sheets and door secured by selotape. APARTMENT FILTHY. DO NOT STAY HERE- [...]DID NOT RESOLVE AND WERE USELESSBooked a two bed apartment and got a studio- no seperate sleeping area and eventually got two studios on different floors splitting up our party.Quite simply the WORST accommodation I hav ever stayed in DO NOT BOOK

Wow, no greeters and NO HOT WATER??? This is the worst place ever. Seriouly save your $ and go elsewhere. [...]. This place simply needs to be better.

Modern space - great overall value when considering location and amount of space you get - it was like staying in a studio apartment. One the down side, our TV was not hooked up to the satelite box. When we called customer service (as there is no front desk), the rude rep told us too bad so sad he had no idea how to help us hook it up. We eventually found the cables in a drawer and were able to connect it. Now that we know how to hook up the TV, we would stay there again.

Well to start off it was a walk up, the room was on the 4th floor, we couldn't get the TV to work. We are use to going to a hotel & just clicking on the TV... this place had Direct TV & we couldn't get it to work, we called the # on the reservation & they were not much help. The bed was uncomfortable & the sheets were bally!!! We went out to eat & when we came back it took 5 minutes for them to buzz us in..it was snowing & sleeting at that time. I wouldn't recommend it at all!!!!!

Although the location doesn't look appealing from the outside and the apt itself is old, it is clean and mostly well appointed. A wi-fi access (there is a router but it is locked) and stove or oven would make this apt a little more comfortable for a longer stay. We were there 2 nights and found the location safe and a quick walk to Times Square, Empire State Building and Central Park. We would recommend it to friends and family traveling to NYC.
