Very very good hospitality i was happy with my family

It was our first trip to the city so I did a lot of research and this place won for location and cost. We would stay here again if we ever returned to the city.

The lobby of this hotel is beautiful. The rooms need a lot of updating. The main issue is, I asked for a non-smoking room, got a smoking room, and the smoking rooms have a consitent stale stench of smoke. The hallways were awful. The rooms need a lot of updating. The bathroom was old and looked a little in need of repair. I am nursing back pain from the beds. However, the location and price were great.

The room was comfortable, although it has just one lamp near the queen bed. You are better off to stay either on an upper floor, say 16-17 or low floors where you can use the stairs. Otherwise you may wait awhile for the elavators during rush hours

This was a typical Holiday Inn. No surprises here. I liked staying here because it was close to everything I needed. Walking to Central Park and Lincoln Center was a breeze. The subway was close when I needed to travel to Harlem. The cleaning staff was very friendly and cooperative. So was the lobby staff. The hotel was clean and safe. The restaurant seemed like an overpriced highway cafe. My suggestion would be to go out on the street and look for all those great City eating establishments where locals eat. Stay away from tourists hot spots if you can do it.

Traveling for personal reasons (site-seeing and shopping), my friend and I were delighted with this hotel. The location is just 2 or 3 blocks from 59th St/Columbus subway station, which made it easy to get everywhere in the city. It's also close enough to walk to Times Square if you'd rather. There's plenty of shopping nearby. This is one of the few hotels in Manhattan that offered two double beds for the same price as one bed. The moment my friend and I walked in, the staff and owner of Holiday Inn NEW YORK CITY-MIDTOWN-57TH ST. were offering their assistance. Everyone was attentive, kind, helpful and professional. The rooms were clean and nicely appointed with coffee makers and hairdryers. Been home for a week with NO SIGNS of bedbugs -- the rooms were very clean. I'd been concerned about the city in general in that regard and had no problems. ABSOLUTELY would stay here again or recommend for friends, family or professional travel.

Das Hotelzimmer war sauber und das Personal am Empfang nett. Mehr haben wir vom Hotel nicht kennen gelernt. Waren nur zum schlafen duschen da und dafür war es super. Jeden Tag frische Handtücher und jeden Morgen eine Zeitung vor der Tür ;-) Das Zimmer war geräumig und trotz Lage zur Hauptstraße konnten wir Nachts ohne Probleme schlafen. Die Lage ist optimal um die Stadt zu erkunden. Der Central Park ist nur 3 Gehminuten entfernt. Starbucks und Mc Donald auch direkt um die Ecke. Der Timey Square ist ca. 20 Minuten Fußweg entfernt. Die U Bahn Haltestelle Columbus Circle ist auch nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt.

Good location for me. Quieter area, close to Central Park. Not good for the young night life, that's all about 40 blocks to the south. Good: Decent room service, friendly staff, clean enough room. Bummer: My room service trays stayed outside my room in the hall for all 4 days!!! Each time I walked by, I'd look at my rotting eggs and jelly'd toast! Insane!! My TV remote was dead. Shoddy construction and finishes made it clear that the rooms were remodeled by the lowest bidding contractor. Your wife won't be excited, but a single guy would not have a problem staying here for the low cost. Have fun in NYC!

Might not be the prettiest or trendiest place in town, but it's a decent place to stay for a quick trip. The rooms are larger than most NY hotels, but the walls are a little thin. It was a little loud in the morning. The staff was friendly, there were no bedbugs, and overall I had a good experience.

I was pleasantly surprised with the room that we had after reading some of the previous reviews. The room was newly renovated and in good condition. Maid service had the room cleaned up by the time we got back from breakfast. The only negative was a musty smelling shower curtain. The location was perfect for the activity that we had in NYC within walking distance to theatres, restaurants and Central Park.
