Candlewood Suites NEW YORK CITY- TIMES SQUARE

Hotel services (clean rooms, sheets, towels) only done once a week but rooms were nice and clean upon arrival. Employees are pleasant and accommodate all requests. Very nice kitchen area. For clean towels daily, you had to take used towels to front desk and exchange out or have clean ones delivered to you. Snacks available for purchase but missed the continental breakfast served by other chains like this. Hotel is several blocks from Times Square and you have to walk down alleyway to get to front door that is uncomfortable.

It was a nice hotel but the alley way we had to walk through to get to the front entrance was a little scary. I expected it to be closer to Times Square not 3 BIG block away. It was nice and clean though!

Just a couple minutes walk from Times Square and a one minute walk to the Subway. The staff are simply FANTASTIC and always helpful. Rooms are much larger than the standard NYC hotel room, and having the kitchenette is wonderful. Comes stocked with all appliances and utensils you will need (microwave, stove, large fridge, coffee pot, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, iron and board). Maid service is just once a week - but I love that - I like being able to leave my stuff... work papers etc out and not worrying about them be moved. But if you desire - you can have the room cleaned any additional time you want - just let the front desk know. Exercise room is nice, and I like being able to do my own laundry which you can do here. T he place was spotless. Common areas are immaculate, and a perfectly clean room. I make several trips a year to NYC and will definitely stay here again. Right now I think this is the best kept hotel secret closs to Times Square - I'm sure the word will get out and it will be come more difficult to obtain a reservation.

Absolutely loved this hotel! We stay in New York fairly frequently (at least a couple of times a year), and have stayed all over town. This room was clean and spacious. The hotel was really convenient. Although I would have loved a coffee maker in the room, I was fine with free coffee in the lobby.

Very convenient location. Excellent value -- nice sized suite with FULL kitchen. Several appliances didn't work properly and staff was lax about fixing. Would definitely stay there again.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and had a great layout. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who will be staying in the area... and to make it all better it has comfortable beds and cozy linens.

Good experience at the Candlewood

Candlewood Suite was nice, though the walk in shower had a broken shower handle holder, so I had to hold the shower hose the whole time. The Refrigerator was so noisey, I had to shut it off to get some sleep. The exercise room has no weights; not even dumbells. I figured there would be some instant coffee with that room. There was only tea, so I made tea. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. If your looking for a studio room, it's right for the price. Location is fine. Your a block from 8th and the stores.

Friendly staff. Convenient location but not a pretty neighborhood. Close to the subway and Times Square The rooms are not big but having a kitchenette helps. There is no room service or breakfast Our room was quiet and cool ( outside it was hot and humid) There was a good diner at the corner of 9th Avenue and 34th Street . There is a Starbucks on 39th and 8th Ave
