Comfort Inn Binghamton

To begin with the parking lot is too small to accommodate the guests that fill the rooms. I arrived to a well adorned lobby on the first floor but after the elevator door opened on the second floor I walked down a corridor of drab paint and foul smelling rooms. It was hard to believe that the lobby and the rest of the hotel were in the same building. The yellow caution stand to warn people of wet floors was left in the elevator permanently. I was surprised they didn't store the mop bucket there as well. It was odd to say the least, and considering I can stay at a premier hotel in San Francisco for less than twice the price, I found the value astonishingly poor.

I took my granddaughter & one of her frieds to the Binghamton Spiede Fest. Our hotel was located just a couple blocks away from the festivals location. After spending the day enjoying music, food, etc. we caught a ride on the parking lot shuttle & spent the late afternoon/early evening hours in the hotel pool. From the pool we enjoyed watching the evening lift off of the festivals hot-air balloons - marvelous. We awoke in the morning to enjoy one of the most delicious breakfast buffets - my granddaughter was super happy about the homemade waffles.

The motel was in a great location just off the highway and yet very, very quiet. The staff was very efficient and friendly. The hotel itself was very clean and it was obvious that the staff takes good care of the place. The location was perfect too for the number and diversity of eating facilities in the immediate area. My wife and myself were very satisfied and will stay there again on our next trip through the area.
