Flamingo Las Vegas

the flamingo hotel is a very famous place to be on the strip. but you can't expect have any relation with the hotel crew. you have the choice when you arrive: you make a big queue for the check in or you made the check in by your own and your don't choose the location of your room. Our room was really cool with a big bathroom and a beautiful modern decoration BUT it was a smocking room on the 11th floor and the view was sick : the back of an other hotel and a construction area. Obviously there is no breakfast or there are very expensive on the different restaurant around. There is a very big swimming pool but a little bit too "spring break" ambiance.

where do I start with this location... It was a horrible experience from check in! We waited 17 min in line because only one person was helping a line for 15+ people. The room was supposed to be $55 but since we arrived befor 4 p.m we were charged with a $25 early check in so by the time we we're done paying all the fees the room was about $105! But since our trip was not planed we just brushed it off and took it as a lesson learned. By the time we got to the room it was like stepping into the 70's! The bathroom was dirty it had dry bloody boogers on the counter and sink and the shower curtain had a yellow film on it, and the tub faucet was also loose and ended up flying and hitting my husband in his knee that he had surgery on in December. So we talked to the hotel manager and brought all of our concerns to his attention and he was just rude and unapologetic to the whole situation ! Needless to say it was just an all around bad experience and I will never ever stay there again.

The Flamingo is a great place to stay. Great location on the strip. Close to everything. Most places within walking distance.

For the price of the room, we were very pleased with the room we received. It was very clean and the room looked very new and refurbished. The location of the Flamingo is fantastic.

The lobby desk needs more staff! Waited 35 minutes to check in and out and hardly anyone working! Needs more help. Everyone around us complained!!! Had to call for shampoo and conditioner. The toilet overflowed and had to call to have it fixed, water all over the bathroom. Staff were very friendly! Drinks at the pool were way overpriced!!!

The room was clean and comfortable. The casino had a lot of attractive slots. The location is great; there's no need for a car.

A fee of $20.00 was tacked onto the room charges as a resort fee. Have no idea what that was for.

This hotel is really beat from the public rooms to the hotel rooms. It's tired and old and it shows. If location is what you're after, there are nicer and just as affordable hotels nearby. Dining room and maid service staff were very helpful and friendly...others not so much especially the registration desk and pool staff. Do yourself a favor and skip this hotel.

Management and staff were good, here's the problem: there is and still is construction on three side of this hotel. Out of five nights, we got sleep on 2 of them. We were moved three times. Finanly, on the third try we were move up to the 27th floor from the 4th. That's where we found peace and quite. WARNING FOR ALL! Find out is there is construction before booking hotels in Vegas!
