Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Downtown

There was major construction on the main street leading to the hotel. Hotel staff did not mention this when we called ahead to ask about check-in and proximity to our event destination, which caused us a lot of trouble when we got there. I feel like a better hotel would have warned us. Furthermore, the hotel itself was undergoing construction, so there were floor fans everywhere, the main entrance had been re-routed through the dining area, and the elevators stopped running at around midnight. Bathroom fixtures had stains, although the rest of the room was nicely decorated. Comfortable bed.... I just should have paid a lot less than I did to stay there. Paid $120 including tax for a stay that was worth maybe $80.

Very nice staff. The facility and rooms were clean. Room size was disappointing.

Hotel perfectly located in Tampa downtown near to all main destination. Overall nice service including valet parking Breakfast a little pricey

I had a wonderful time, The food was awesome and the night was romatic. I felt safe a comfortable the whole time I stayed there

the staff was very helpful from the moment i was dropped off until my stay was over. i was in a wheel chair and had no trouble getting help checking in and getting set up in my room. lets not forget how great the beds were. when my stay was over, they kindly gave me a shuttle to the Amtrak Station. wish my stay had been longer!

This hotel was in a great central location - near the restaurant we were going to and near Busch Gardens. So, it was exactly what we wanted. There is ONLY valet parking, though. I felt like we were supposed to give a tip to the valet person every time we needed to get our car out of valet, which was strange, but they have a shuttle for anything within a 2 mile distance.

This was just a one night stay so we could attend the hockey game with friends, then party at Channelside and not worry about driving home. The hotel was very clean. The staff was VERY courteous, helpful and accommodating. We took the shuttle from the hotel to the hockey arena and then had a cab ride back to hotel because it was after shuttle hours. Cab ride is a flat rate of $3 per person. The room was quiet. The black out curtains kept the room so dark in the morning we almost slept through check out!

We stayed in Tampa to attend an event at the convention center so location was important. The shuttle was great, we called and they gave an estimated wait. Very safe.But little things like one of the phones in the room not working and having only one trash bin posed problems. When we called about them, the staff wanted to argue that there were two trash bins in the room (I'm standing right there looking at the only trash bin) and that the phone was fine. Why would I make this up?Then, one of the girls flushed the toilet for the first time and it overflowed. Not a good beginning to our stay. On the second day, I thought the drip, drip, drip in the bathroom all night long was due to someone leaving the faucet on. When I checked, the ceiling over the shower was dripping water and chunks of plaster all over the tub. I called and they walked up a key to another room on the same floor where we could shower.The front desk manager,[...], was gracious and attentive when I gave him the litany of problems we had encountered as I paid my incidentals as we checked out.[...]

My husband and I, along with our two children, travelled by train from Winter Park Fl to Tampa for an overnight stay. Our intention was to just enjoy the city for the weekend, and we didn't want to rent a car. We picked the perfect hotel and location! The hotel shuttle promptly picked us up from the train station and kindly transported us from here to there at our whim during our stay. We were within walking distance of the Tampa Museum of Art, many downtown restaurants, and the Great Lawn where the kids enjoyed an art-styled playground and water misting floor (great for running through and cooling off from the Florida heat!). The Courtyard Marriott staff were kind and helpful. There was an unfortunate power outage the first day we arrived, and every staff member we came in contact with during the 15 minute outage apologized for the inconvenience. The only negative thing about out stay is our bathroom sink had low water pressure, but the shower was fine. I would definitely stay in this hotel again in the future!

We chose this hotel as it was close to the channelside area of Tampa so we could attend a concert at the St Pete Times Forum. We had our prepaid receipt as we checked in. We were asked to provide a credit card to use for any incidentals like valet parking. We stayed for only one night. checked out in the morning, no worries. Once home, I checked my bank account online, only to find we had been charged once again for the room. We were told the attendant hit a wrong button upon checkin not pulling our payment from Orbitz. It took 3 days for the transactions to be reversed. Kinda added extra stress to what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend.
