Rooms Are in need of repair
The location is good and the people in the area are nice ..The room had an awful stench..The bathroom floor was falling in and the place did not even have a wash/face cloth any where. If you need a good room this is not the place.....

Buy a 7 day bus pass and ride anywhere in miami for just 27 bucks if you are truly advertureous.....it makes for a interesting trip to the mall, movies, dining, or sight seeing,

Old hotel
Old old old if you are charging 150 usd a night you need to fik your ceilings And walls at least have tv which will be working get a cable. I like to own a hotel like this I can make a lot of cash out of it no investment great Super business mentality lover it

Great for the price
Hotel looks like was recently renovated. I had 2 rooms one was gigantic but second was one-third the size. Bathrooms were small but I was not there to spend time in the hotel. If I wanted a resort I would have booked a resort not a hotel. The Staff was very friendly, and went out of their way to help.

Business Trip to Miami
The hotel is not kept up well. It is run down. They did not give me a wake up call because the the phone in the room didn't work so if they tried the phone couldn't ring. I asked them to fix the phone, they said they would but did not. However the sheets and towels were clean and the bathroom utilities worked.

The truth.
THE HOTEL WAS DANGEROUS AND UNSAFE
First let me say that I am the total opposite of a snob and I dont like elitists that are jerks who complain for no reason. Also, it is important to note that I have stayed in MANY hostels with buildings falling apart, and camped on the ground, so I am not picky. This hotel was formerly called the Malabo. There are people who are homeless AND WHO HURT, so people should NOT complain unless there is reason to! People are blessed to have a place to sleep! However, this place is a hotel that you should NOT stay in until the owner at Pegaso Hotels does something about the place. Spend $4-$6 more which you POSITIVELY usually can find, and stay in another hotel. Money is tight for me too, so I understand how important the $5 can be, but your sleep and life are worth the $5. From the moment I walked down the hallways, I knew this place was bad news. It looks like a flophouse from the 50's with ugly depressing doors that all need to be replaced, and a worn hallway floor. But you know what, these things really didnt matter though much to me. Why? As long as one has a safe place to sleep, and can put their head down on a bed or pillow, they should feel BEYOND blessed, as most people appreciate nothing or little. I did not feel SAFE here! That is when it becomes another story!!! The room was not cleaned properly and there were gross things, including clothing, lying on the floor. The tub was filthy or disgusting, I dont know which was the best way to describe it--- but I think that was due to AGE, more than any negligence on the maid's part. Maids work hard and next to noone appreciates them and their difficult chore, so I try to give them a lot of slack--they deserve it mightily. I think the tub sucked due to Pegaso, not the maid. The beds were made up fine. There were holes in the wall that were not sealed that someone stuffed closed with something else. (you had to see this; this place was surreal; I am not making this up!!!) I felt the hotel was not looked after properly, or checked properly by Pegaso, and as a result was unsafe and potentially very dangerous. Not one, but BOTH windows were broken and would not lock. Someone could EASILY crawl in the window and attack or kill someone or steal their belongings. This is not a joke. This is how tragedies happen, because people laugh at them and minimize them, and say, "nah, that would never happen, don't make a fuss" till something occurs and someone dies. Without question, someone could have easily gotten into the room and harmed someone or been waiting for them when they arrived. (a 7 year old could have gotten into this room) The company that is blessed enough to own this hotel has a responsibility to CHECK all the windows and fix the ones that will not close or lock. I mean get real; not ONE, but BOTH were like this. Death or rapes can result and has resulted in other hotels due to things just like this in SEVERAL other places in this country. Nothing is perfect and noone expects perfection of Pegaso; but they HAVE a lot of money and are again BLESSED to own not one but MANY hotels!!! The very least they can do is check their darn windows and many other things! Some of the staff were nice, and one lady barely spoke English and was just very blunt and not nice! She barked out "GIVE ME YOUR ID AND CREDIT CARD" in her South American accent! Lady, learn how to say things nicely and with BASIC KINDNESS! Didnt your Momma teach you right! I didnt sleep all night as I felt unsafe in the hotel and only was able to get a few hours after 5:30 am when it was lighter. I was exhausted after leaving as I got no rest. I think the company gets angry when people just want to speak the truth. This is not fair. I am a kind soul and gentle, and look to improve things to make their hotel better for the next folks! I look for suggestions and help. My suggestions: 1) Do not stay in this hotel till they fix the things mentioned. Make sure you check your room FULLY--for safety--- ...

not worth your stay
The Venetia hotel was not suitable for my stay at all. I have a 10month old baby boy whom I had to carry up and down the stairs because the elevator was broken. The hotel looked rundown. I could go on and on, AWFUL
