RED South Beach Hotel

We stayed at the Red for 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. While we thought it was literally across the street from the beach it's still incredibly close. The staff is amazingly helpful and friendly; one could not ask more of them. It's comfortable, clean and very well maintained. There is a block of small stores and restaurants less than two blocks away for extras. Otherwise one could just stay and enjoy the beach and the pool.

eclectic for those interested in different, clean, friendly. If you are use to large chains like Crown Plaza & Marriott, please go back. Stick with your cold giant. I loved the coziness and very different & creative decor which exceeded my expectations. Multilingual cater to foreign visitors. Same staff I saw in evening were with me the next morning. Double shift? But they remembered me, my name and a great connection.

Dirty! room and pool chairs. Loud - constraction in neighberhood. Far away from South Beach entertaing spots. No beer in the bar for all stay (4 days).

I had a phenomenal time at the Red Hotel, from the moment I checked in, with Hampton at the front desk, Anthony the bellman, Jose the valet to Charlie the concierge-she goes above and beyond with what she took care of for me and in a rapid fire way-to Clementine who apparently works night and day at the bistro. It was my first visit to South Beach and now because of the fabulous staff, I now have an excuse to go back any time I can. I will be back soon.

Although the hotel looked pretty in pictures, and was actually cute when we arrived, our experience could have been better. The location is not close to South Beach, and is not located in the nicest neighborhood. When walking to our first restaurant, I was afraid we were entering into a bad area. The check in process was a little slow, and we were then asked to pay additional charges for valet and amenities, which was not specified when booking through the travel site. Not to mention the valet service was HORRIBLE. There is no parking on the premises, and although they say to call down 30 minutes before you need the car, one day it took an hour and a half to get our car 13 blocks away. We made sure to ask for the car at least an hour before we needed to go anywhere. The restaurant inside the hotel was very nice, as were a few of the waiters. The concierge was also a lovely young woman who was very helpful. The gym was tiny! it only had 3 machines and didn't even have free weights. Only a slightly broken weight machine. I just think this hotel needs to step up their game if they want to compete with nicer hotels in the area.

This hotel was great. Not too far from Ocean Drive, about a 15 block walk and $8-$10 cab ride. The hotel staff was great and extremely helpful. The hotel restaurant had great food but a little pricey. Hamburger is $15! We had one issue with the hot water not working when we first got there. When we called the front desk they said that we had to turn the knob to cold for the hot water to work, and once we figured that out we had hot water the rest of our stay.

We had a great time, since it was our first time in Miami. The hotel was located close to south beach...we could walk to nearby areas or take the bus to south beach without a problem. The staff was very nice, and friendly, and the room was always clean when we returned. Our 3 night stay was full of fun and the fact we didnt have to deal with any hotel room drama made it even more fantastic. Also we were glad that the hotel pics online matched the actual hotel cleanliness. We def. recommend this place. R&R

The Red Hotel is exactly that "RED"! Down to the hallway lights and lamp shades in your room, Red is everywhere. It was so cheesy and outdated I was afraid Ron Jeremy was going to pop out of the closet. The room was a nice size, with large windows and a kitchenette. It was cleaned daily and seemed mostly sanitary, however one of the curtain panels appeared to have blood on it. Not just a few drops, I'm talking full murder scene, CSI Miami Blood. ( I have a photo for proof) I guess that was part of the "Red" theme also. We did not complain because most of the guests in our party had already complained and we had the largest room out of the 4 rooms booked at Red. The final straw and the deepest Red of all, was my eyes, when I saw my incidental room charges. I was charged $37.50 for "COMPLIMENTARY" continental breakfast, which included one croissant, one alcoholic shot in the lobby between 5 and 7pm, wifi, and towel service for the pool. None of which I actually used or was even informed about prior to checkout. Had I known I was paying for these "COMPLIMENTARY" services I would have tried to enjoy a few. Needless to say I will not return to the Red Hotel in the future and would not recommend this hotel to a bum! Unless you are going to remake The Shinning I would not visit this hotel.

The staff here make this hotel worthwhile. Rooms are tiny, but clean. The entire staff go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable and have everything you need. I will definitely stay here again.

We were happy with our first stay in Miami. Good location if you like to walk. I had to fix the strength training equipment in the small gym, but all else was good.
