Fun in Ft. Myers
We loved the location, the pool, the free breakfast in a screened-in area. The maid service left something to be desired and the room's amenities (especially in the bathroom....no vanity!) were below par. The price is good and we like the other guests...friendly, family-oriented for the most part. Quality of exercise machines is poor.

The Lighthouse restaurant is very close to the hotel and serves delicious, moderately-priced meals. Also, University Grill serves delicious meals and has an early-bird price that's hard to beat.

When entering the room for the first time there was a damp musty smell, once the room cooled down the smell disapeared. Overall our experience was great

not a 3 star!
arrived @ 2pm and asked to check in, lady said check in is NOT until 3pm and I said can you check if room is ready and she said come back at 3-room isn't ready. Room smelled like mold as soon as we walked in even though it looked clean. Had 2 teenage boys but sleeper sofa is a twin so it was only big enough for one-asked for a different room they said no, all sold out, asked for a cot, they said no we don't have cots so my son had to sleep on floor! Maintenance man walked around with a large, loud leaf blower cleaning all floors but blew everything in pool so it was dirty. Staff rude and unhelpful-stay somewhere else, not worth the money.

Not bad overall. But I am not a smoker. We requested non-smoking. And we were stuck with a smoking room after we checked in and realized it was smoking. So I asked the hotel to put in a memo on our reservation. As they told me they couldn't do anything since it was booked through an outside source.

Close to Sanibel Island Getaway
Hotel was good except for the fact that on the second day of our stay they had problems with their Hotwater system so we did not have any Hot water and No water in the Shower at all. When we complained the Hotel gave a refund of $25 for one night without any arguments. This hotel in only 6 and about 15 minutes drive to the Fort Myers Beach.miles from the Sanibel Island so is very convenient. It is also very close to shopping
