Fort Lauderdale Marriott North

This Marriot is a good hotel. It is great if you have a rental car or other transportation. About 15 min to the air port or beach. The beds were comfortable and they said the pool was open 24 hours though I didn't use it. There is also free parking here.

The staff was courteous and friendly. We needed a coffee at 6:00 am and it only openned at 6:30. The clerk wrote a special note in our file and somebody was waiting for us at 6:00 to make us some coffee. That is a serious plus. On the down side, there was dust all around the TV and all around the soap, glass, and complimentary stuff on the vanity. As if they went around everything while cleaning. Makes you wonder what other short cuts they are taking while cleaning the room (the bed, the toilet...). I'm also very difficult when it comes to bed comfort. The 2 beds we had were so soft in the middle it was as if these beds were in use since early 1900's. I need a firm matress. Nice parking, pool and gym. An ok place if you're in transit or waiting for your morning flight at Fort Lauderdale int. airport. Managers: Coach your cleaning staff and replace your matresses and you've got a 4 Stars Hotel. Otherwise, it's only a 3.

I was allowed me to book the room with breakfast, but the hotel did not serve breakfast at the early morning time of our checkout - money wasted. Children were quite hungry going to the airport.

Staff at Marriott North exceedingly friendly and helpful. Made one feel like a frequent guest, although it was my first time at this location. Hotel conveniently located to Ft. Lauderdale and easy access to anyplace from there. Rooms spotless and very comfortable. Best "airport" hotel I can recall staying at in recent years.

The room was very clean and the staff courteous! Also the fruit infused water near the front desk was delicious and refreshing. The hotel is in a great location close to several eateries and the highway. I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel was nice, but the room left more to be desired. The "sound proof" rooms were definitely NOT sound proof and we could hear everything going on in the halls. Also, if someone slammed a door in the room next to us, the mirror on the wall almost fell off. The location was pretty good, as it was right off of 95....so easy to get to and from places. Overall, the stay was good, but I will be looking for another hotel next time.

The intial encounter was NOT good as we arrived close to 3pm to check in (did not know we could do it earlier--staff told us we could have) and we were told our room was not ready and we had to wait possibly an hour or more. Fortunately, it was only a 5-10 min wait. They found us a similar room (supposed to be an "upgrade" from what we reserved). My guess is the chair with ottoman and the desk with chair were the upgrades? Overall satisfied except with the damp odor in the room. i had to purchase air freshner trees to try to get rid of it or mask it. Oh, and I wished their had been a microwave and refrigerator and free breakfast. These are the things we would want in a hotel. The staff was nice, professiaonal and pleasant overall.

travel quite a bit and to ve honest once I enter a room at Marriott I feel t home, The same this time Room perfectly clean and well maintained, bed super comfortable.

I have no complaints on this hotel... I got everything I needed when I stayed there

I was in town for overnight and stay here was fantastic. I will consider it for longer stay as well.
