Hotel is a little on the old side but it is close to and within walking distance from the main drag and the beaches and town pier.

Nice staff only, the room was too small, Noisy and having drunk people in the hallway in all hours of night was not great. Did not get any sleep prior to flying early in the morning.

This is a loud old hotel. Charming, but noisy. I've been traveling back and forth to SB for years on business and I will not stay at it during peak times because it is far too expensive for the uncomfortable bed, hit or miss bathroom cleanliness, and the noise between hallways, rooms & parking lots when you are trying to get some sleep before meetings. What you are truly paying for is it's location on State Street and proximity to the beach.

we stayed just one night as part of a touring holiday. we were well received at reception and found the room and facilities were accurately described on the web. a better advice on finding the hotel would have helped - especially when arriving in the evening of the adjacent street market, when roads were closed off.

Comfortable, Pleasant stay
Great location, just steps from State street. Quiet, Comfortable Clean room. Small and Simple with nice flat screen TV, desk was perfect for lap top, Free wireless internet, and VERY COMFORTABLE King size bed. The Staff were excellent, Called us a cab from the mission, held our bags after check out, pleasant and courteous. Nice Breakfast buffett each day There is no swimming pool, no jacuzzi tubs. If you want excellent service, peace and quiet where you can relax, this is a great place. Is was an excellent stay and we would highly reccomend this hotel.

Great Place in the heart of downtown
If you want to be in the center of action, this is the place to stay. Right in the heart of downtown and only minutes from the beach and pier. The place is kind of old but well maintained. The free breakfast is great and they do not nickle and dime you. Highly recommend it.

Great Hotel
Great location right in downtown. You can walk pretty much anywhere with plenty to do. The room was very nice and super clean. Would definately stay there again.
