Courtyard by Marriott San Diego Downtown

Overall I had a very good experience with this hotel. It was lovely, in that it is located in a historical building. Its location in the Gaslamp area made restaurants and other activities very accessible. The staff were very helpful and positive. The only downside was the degree to which the rooms were not insulated to reduce sound. Each night there were people on our hall being very loud for long periods of time in the middle of the night and you could hear every word said.

Everything was wonderful. I would go again. The location was convenient and within walking distance of the many restaurants in the Gaslamp District.

Everyone, from the Valets to the front desk staff to the restaurant staff, were very courteous, helpful and smiling. The hotel has a great history as a Bank, built in 1927. They did a great job incorporating the interior features of the Bank into the decor of the hotel. Great location, at the top of the Gaslamp District. Walking distance to Seaport village on San Diego Bay, the Ferry to Coronado, Little Italy, The Civic Theater, and the many fine restaurant and shops of the Gaslamp District. The room was spacious and clean. Had a good time exploring the hotel and reading the history. The breakfast buffet was very good and the service was great. Would highly recommend this hotel

Hotel was not updated, has no amenities apart from a bar/restaurant that has limited hours, and the room was an oven. The windows were poorly redone to "soundproof" them which doesn't work and they still allow the outside temperature to permeate the room. Disabled entry is difficult. One has to check-in, then go back outside and reenter from a side door to get to the elevators. This is difficult to do after hours because the doors are closed and locked. It is necessary to enter the lobby and request for one of the staff to open the door, then go back outside and around to the side door. Very inconvenient.

The Courtyard Marriott is close enough to Gaslamp district, but far enough away that you don't hear all of the noise from the street. Great Blues Club located right next door!

Good service, very clean, close to everything.

The hotel was in a great location, easy walk to the Gaslamp district. It was also a short drive to other attractions. The room was clean and comfortable. The parking was expensive, but not out of line with the area.

Beautiful hotel. Nice rooms with great views of city. In walking distance of all the bars and restrauants which was the best part of the hotel!! parrtyyy time!

I checked in and the bellperson was very helpful he told us about good places to go around downtown.
