Hollywood Historic Hotel

hôtel bien situé à proximité des entrées d'autoroutes pratique à LA. Pas de petit dèj contrairement à la description. Wifi dans le couloir. Chambre vieillotte. Uniquement pour dormir pour pas cher. Ne chercher pas de confort ultime mais pour 1 /2 jours ...

Pas de petit déjeuner comme indiqué dans l'annonce! Chambre bruyante, mauvaise odeur dans les couloirs, et salle de bain très très petite avec robinet qui fuit... Seuls points positifs: l'emplacement et le grand lit !

Historic hotel yes, but I was kind of dissapointed as this could be a really great hotel. For the price the place is good. The beds and linens were shabby in my opnion, if they invested a little more in them this place would get a higher rating from me. The fake flowers in the back entry way look tacky get rid of them. Otherwise the place was great!

This hotel has bed bugs, and they admitted they’ve had problems in the past but have always addressed them right away. We moved out of our first room (no bed bugs) due to the noise. The person at the front desk moved us to room 205, and we immediately checked for bed bugs under the sheets. We didn’t find any, but we did see that there was a plastic covering around the mattress--evidence that they’ve had a bed bug problem in the room before. After our first night in the new room we woke up with a ton of bites. Later that day we were watching a movie on the bedspread and I saw a bed bug crawling on one of us. It was a classic bed bug, gorged in blood. We squished it and immediately showed the person at the front desk. He apologized profusely and instantly refunded our money for the rest of our stay, and we got the heck out of there for another hotel. What I would have written had there been no bed bugs: Before you book your hotel here, you need to have the appropriate expectations of what you’re getting. What you will get is: cheap accomodations akin to a college dorm room or hostel; hairdryer only upon request; shabby bed spread but generally clean sheets that may have a few spots; stained desk chair seat; generally old decor and furnishings; stark white tile bathroom that’s a little grungy but still ‘clean’; no central heat--they have a plug-in heater in every room; nice flat screen TV; internet that can be spotty. If you go in with these expectations, and the fact that you’re only paying something like $65/night for Los Angeles, then you will be fine. I would recommend requesting a room facing the parking lot, since the windows are extremely thin and if you get a room facing the road you will hear loud traffic all night. During our stay there were 2 individuals manning the front desk; one was really snippy and sarcastic, the other was extremely kind and helpful.

Do not stay at this hotel if you have alot of luggage or heavy luggage because there is NO elevator. The person at the front did not bother to help me or these poor people who had what appeared to be very heavy luggage. There was no iron in the room although this is suppose to be a three star hotel. The housekeeping staff was stingy with shampoo, etc, but I had plenty of towels. Overall, I would recommend this hotel to people on a budget.

Free parking, quick check-in, and a clean bed. Not located in an area that I would walk around by myself at night. Just a place to spend one night that is affordable.

I travel with my wife on December 2011. For the price we paid we already knew that the hotel wouldn't be 5 start material. I think that what you get for your money is about fair: - Rooms reasonably clean. No bed bugs, no funny smells. - Staff polite as long as you didn't ask for anything beyond saying hi. The first day we discover that the maids took the cover out of our bed and just folded inside of the closet. We complained but we didn't get the staff to correct the situation. We didn't insist because we just thought of it as weird but not something that really bothered us. - Location in my opinion is perfect. We could get by to all the places we wanted without any hassle.

Hotel is old with character & charm. Our room was adequate and the parking lot is very nice.Great location & best value in LA! The room needs to have 2 chairs and more or brighter lighting. The staff were all very friendly & helpful except for the rude evening fellow. The management must do him & the guests a favour to let him get another job as he clearly didn't want to be there. Overall, we liked this hotel & would stay here again.

Ich bin kein sehr haglicher hotelgast aber das Hotel hat bis auf den billigen Preis und die naehe zu den Paramount Studios nichts zu bieten. Es ist nicht. besonders sauber. Miefen tuts auch. Man merkt das alter und es gehoert renoviert. Wir hatten ein Zimmer welches zur Straße war und das ist in der nacht so laut. Wenn ein LKW vorbei fährt glaubt man der Fahrt durchs Zimmer. Ca 1 Stunde zu fuss zum Hollywood Boulevard. Parkplatz ist gratis. Fazit: günstig für anspruchslose.
