Location was great. Staff disinterested. Bar has been closed. Breakfast not included as thier website states. Internet for fee down, wouldn't refund.

Situato nel cuore del Barrio Gotico, a 50 m dalla fermata metro Jaime I, a 5 minuti dalla Rambla.Buona la colazione, personale gentile.Camere carine, bagno completo.

Clean hotel with spacious bathroom
Clean hotel with spacious bathroom however bedroom was rather small and funishings were very ordinary and akin to a youth hotel. Over priced for wah you get. If it's any consolation they do have a good breakfast.

Buyer Beware!
Where oh where shall I begin? 1st impression: Unprofessional because the person at the desk was a mess and ignored us as we waited patiently at his desk ---Not even an "Un memento por favor" or acknowledgement - - brushed it off and chalked it up to a busy guy who probably shouldn't be there - short staffed? 2nd impression: Matchbox rooms - is the definition of 4 star different in Spain!? We thought we wre getting a 4 star hotel and were painully disappointed with the itsy bitsy put in your back pocket room. I don't think you could spin around with your arms out without hitting something. Whatever- Last impression was the worst - breakfast wasn't included only for us. We think it was vengance from the guy we met upon entry - but they were jerks about it. What I do give them - clean - and good location. A step above Motel 6 except Waaaaaaaaaaay smaller.

I thought the location was great, right in the middle of town, near hundreds of shops and restaurants and sights. The hotel staff was ok - mostly not friendly but not hostile, either; one of the desk people was pretty nice, the others neutral. The rooms were very clean and though the hallways smelled of cigarettes, our room did not (important to me). We had a room towards the back of the hotel which faced a small courtyard that was sunny and full of plants, so noise was not a concern at all. All in all we were happy with the hotel. For the price it was a great deal.

My husband and I are runners, and the location of the hotel only half a mile from the beach boardwalk was great!

The Gotico is a lovely hotel situated
The Gotico is a lovely hotel situated in a very convenient location in Barcelona. Ideal for exploring the old parts of Barcelona, the sea front and Las Ramblas. This is the second time that I have stayed in this Hotel. It can be a little noisy at the front of the hotel as it is on a very busy street, but if you get a bedroom on the 3rd or 4th floor this is not a problem.
