surprisingly great
It was a great price and I'd heard some bad reviews about noise and cleanliness so I was worried, but it was really great. The room was pretty basic and rather large with the added plus of a good sized refrigerator. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful - no complaints at all except that the walls are thin: at night it was pretty easy to hear the elevator and pipes. But we didn't hear any other people (we were on the 16th floor) so it really wasn't a big deal. Would definitely go back.

The Museum of Fine Arts is an easy walk - just a few blocks away. About halfway there is an "Eggspectations" - great affordable cafe bistro. Put the two together and you have a nice morning/afternoon.

Not bad for the money...
Overall my experience was OK. The only issue was that our room was not ready when we arrived. We were asked to come back an hour to and hour and a half later and it should be ready. We came back 2 and a half hours later and the room was still not ready. We had a reservation for Jet Boating (must try) and because the room was still not ready for another hour we were late. They only offered us a free buffet breakfast which turned out to be horrible.

Use the Metro, leave the car at the hotel. A walk alon St. Catherine St. at any hour is refreshing in its humanity. Good shopping in the Underground city.

good spot but stinky
It was a busy weekend but I was out of luck for a standard, nonsmoking room "since I booked through Orbitz, not direct". The rug under the AC remained soaking wet despite my requests to have them dry it. Neither of these are good for your health! For many more dollars a night they could move me to a new room each night for part of my stay. Location is great: Being 1 block from a safe, clean Metro made access everywhere easy. Also the hotel is surrounded by museums, restaurants and shopping.
