Lancaster Othon Travel Hotel

La chambre avec vue sur la mer est vraiment très bien. Très bon accueil. Je recommande. L'emplacement est très bien, proche bus et Métro qui vont directement vers le centre, ou vers les principaux centre d'intérêt touristiques.

The Hotel is in best location, rooms are clean and staff were helpful. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Hotel is in a great location on Copa beach, a few blocks from the famous Copa Palace Hotel. View from the beach side rooms on the upper floors is excellent. The room was clean, but they need some refurbishment. Small CRT tele, average speed wi-fi available for a small cost. The best part of the hotel is the staff which was professional, helpful and warm.

At this hotel we were lucky enough to be upgraded from basic room to a suite on 6th floor overlooking the beach from where we had the most wonderful view. This hotel is still in the colonial style, so vintage but charming. Enjoyed staying in this room and found staff very pleasant. Breakfast was good except for long boiled coffee which improved with 2 sugars added. Wonderful sitting at the window tables overlooking the main drag. Would enjoy staying here again in beach view room!

This was our 3rd stays. Old aircondition system and little noisy. Room size very good. Kinds personals. Perfect location on beach and just 5 min.walk to Metro.

Very good value for money, but cleanliness is an issue. Cockroaches in the corridor, spiders and webs in the toilet and bedroom. The air con was broken and very old.

For a short visit to Rio, this is a good place to stay (right beside the Copacabana Palace, a legendary Rio landmark)if you are lucky enough to get a room with ocean view on an upper floor; there is a noisy nightclub nextdoors: unbearable noise until early morning on weekends. The room and bathroom - quite large - need some urgent reforms. Everything looks yellowish (not dirty, but old and used)

When entered the hotel, saw prostitutes and other questionable individuals in the lobby. But the kind hotel manager sent us by taxi (which he paid for) to the other Othon hotel which was much better, and we still paid the same rate as in the Lancaster.

our flight arrived at 9am, so we didn't expect to be able to check in, but decided to ask anyway. "all they could offer" was an upgraded oceanfront room at no extra charge because our room would not be available until 2pm. now that's customer service !! the location can't be beat, and the staff was extremely helpful. we'll definitely stay at the lancaster again.
