Swissotel Sydney

The location is fantastic and I would stay here again. The staff was very friendly and willing to help. When I emailed asking about transfers to the hotel, they promptly responded with a document detailing my options. I would note that it would be good for travelers if the staff keeps informed of the rules for foreigners trying to get tax back at the airport (i.e. you can go to the customs office Before Checking Bags to get inspected and a stamp. This way you can put your stuff in your luggage, rather than carry it the whole trip because the tax refund center - TRS - is after security.) I carried my purchases because no one knew the procedure, or the rules as to what qualifies for tax back.

This Hotel was very clean well located.The staff were very friendly.The rooms where very nice.If I was to Return to Sydney I would stay here again.

The hotel is excellecntly located in the middle of CBD, it is around 20 minutes from the airport by train (then a 5 minute walk from St James Square). It's a 10 minute walk to Darling Harbour, Harbourside and the Star City Casino, a 15 minute walk to; Circular Quay, the Rocks and Central station. The hotel is located within 5 minutes of all the major shopping centres the QV building, the Vicotria Gallery's, Pitt Street mall and David Jones. If you don't mind walking the Swissotel Sydney is the best place to stay, with great staff who will take a personnal interest in you, with a good service, pool and a half decent gym, it is without a doubt if money is not too much of an object, Swissotel Sydney is the best place to stay. By far the bets hotel i've stayed in, and i've been travelling for 5 years all over the world.

I read all of the reviews prior to booking this hotel... To sum it up, I don't think you'll find much better for the price in Sydney. The location is perfect! Right next to the train/monorail you need to get the big spots, bus stop for outlying locations such as Bondi, and near a food court for less expensive dining options. By American standards my actual sleeping area may have been a tad small, but the bathroom was unbelievable! Full tub and glass shower-awesome. To all those that complained about the bed, I'm not sure what to say. Yes, it is firm, but they have the pillow menu right by the bed to help correct that. Fitness center, spa, pool, sauna are wonderful! Used daily while I was there. Can't comment on the restaurant, as it is a tad pricey and I avoided. Overall, a perfect location in Sydney.

Great location, though this is NOT a 5-star hotel. It was not cool that I had to pay for internet....not cool.
