You could not want a better location in the heart of Sydney. Easy walking access to everywhere. Rooms a little small but acceptable

well-located and great price for good quality accommodation.

Excellent location, could walk to all the major attractions,close to all the buses,monorail and ferries. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet, not large, but very comfortable. Great value.

For my purposes of attending a conference, its location is great for city, Darling Harbour, The Rocks & Bridge/Opera House. Thius trip it was unfortunate that there was construction going on on the vacant adjoining block which was abig negative for sleeping as they started by 7am and it was all jack hammers and vibrations. Not the hotels fault though.

Beginning an extended stay in Australia, first with Sydney. Booked this place because it was by far the best rate, and the location is great for us: lively at night,a reasonable walking distance to Circular Quay, Darling Harbour, Opera House, Hyde Park, Museums, etc., and good public transportation. The room is good-sized, but dark and the decor is a bit drab, and the carpet could have used a good cleaning. Our room was quiet enough. Free use of washer and drier is a big plus. We liked it enough to extend from five nights to nine nights.

Gorgeous old hotel! Excellent location, friendly staff,very reasonably priced (we booked a three-night special rate), and very clean. The room itself was rather small and with opaque windows opening out on the brick exterior of the adjacent building...but who cares, when you're in the heart of the action and will only sleep in the room before setting out for the next day! Would recommend to low-maintenace friends! :-)

Pros: The hotel is located in the center of Sydney, free 555 bus to the harbour bridge and the opera house (less than 10 mins ride). Two blocks away the main george st. Everything very convenient. Cons: The hotel is pretty old styled and they don't have options for 2 bed.

very small rooms however very clean, the location is excellent.

Fantastic location, quaint but aging hotel however, the noise from the construction next door (fm 7am-6pm) then the noise from airconditioning power units on nearby buildings make for a very noisy stay. The staff were great and did move me but alas the noise level was really no different on the other side of the hotel. Management really need to look at double glazing the windows!!

I had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. Walking distance to the Quay and Darling Harbour. Would definitley stay at the Castlereagh Boutique Hotel again.
