Tribeca Buenos Aires Apart

Beautiful rooms with high ceilings, wood floors, huge wooden doors.

They were undergoing a renovation when I was there. So it'll probably be different from what I experienced. The staff was nice. They all spoke English. The room itself was a little strange. It was a huge empty loft. You could park a Semi in there and still have plenty of room. With how big the room was it seemed really strange because it was so empty. There wasn't too much furniture there, just the necessities, i.e. bed, chair, dresser with a tv, small minibar fridge, and a table/desk thingy. The hotel itself is in a good location and close to a lot of restaurants and touristy attractions. Hopefully the renovations are done soon.

Tribeca Apart Hotel has excellent rooms - large, high ceilings. Can be a bit chilly in winter, but has air-conditioning/heating unit only in the bedroom. The kitchenette is equiped only with a sink and a microwave - no pots, pans, cutlery and not even a fridge (the minibar will just about serve as this if needed). However, breakfast provided is good, and you can ask for plates etc... to use in the room, though these are invariably cleared away by the maid and taken back when she cleans the room each day. Wifi throughout hotel, but often difficulty connecting. Location in the centre is excellent, and given this, the price is reasonable for Buenos Aires.

We received mixed service at this hotel, but mostly negative. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone

O quarto possui uma arquitetura diferente, com um pé direito muito alto. Sensação que foi um prédio antigo transformado em hotel, e ficou interessante!

Hotel is well located and reasonable quiet considering the location in a narrow side street off the main Avenue. The room has a no coffee making facilities, a mirowave oven, but no microwave dishes crockery or cutlery, obviously as a ploy to use the minibar. The staff were a bit variable in helpfulness, but generally OK. Very clean, but it seems to have been a little while since the last makeover and it is now looking a bit tired.

Il quartiere è molto modesto; tuttavia Tribeca è ben posizionato nel centro città ed offre un buon livello di servizi ad un prezzo assai competitivo, in un ambiente originale ma confortevole.

En una estadía de seis días ha sido necesario pedir tres veces la reparación de las instalaciones del baño. A pesar del trabajo efectuado, ha sido imposible controlar el flujo del agua caliente. El piso del baño ha quedado permanentemente lleno de agua. El desayuno se ofrece, supuestamente, hasta las 10.30 horas. Sin embargo, después de las 9.30 casi todo está agotado. Se debe pedir insistentemente al personal reemplazar los productos agotados. El comportamiento del personal que ofrece el desayuno es pésimo. El personal de la recepción tiene, con algunas excepciones, un trato al límite de la cortesía. El hotel es demasiado caro por los servicios ofrecidos.

In November 2009 I arrived at Tribeca Buenos Aires Apart Hotel with my fully prepaid [...] voucher for a 6 night stay. The person at the counter told me that a block of rooms in the hotel was undergoing repair, and that they had arranged for me to stay at another hotel for Friday and Saturday nights, and that I should return Sunday. Whereas Tribeca advertises free WiFi, the new hotel charged a daily fee for this. When I asked the new hotel if they could ask Tribeca if they would cover my WiFi, they said that Tribeca told them they would analyze the situation and let me know the following day (I never heard back). I had to check-out of the alternate hotel at 11:00am. When I returned to Tribeca, I was told that I couldn't have my room until 1pm because that was the check-in time, and I would need to put my luggage in storage. The clerk (a different clerk than the one I saw originally) explained the delay by telling me that the hotel was fully booked (no mention of repairs), and that's why I couldn't have my room at 11am.

I can not offer any other detail about the hotel, except that when my wife and I arrived late on our check-in day apparently they had sold our room. Within seconds, the manager sorted out what had happened, called for a radio car (gratis) and we were taken a few blocks further down the block to the Apart Hotel & Spa Congreso. This was on the corner of Bartolome Mitre and Av. Callao. (On the corner is La Americana, a great pizza and empenada restaurant). When we checked in, the desk clerk had already spoken to the manager at Tribeca, we were whisked up to our room. Actually it was three rooms. There was enough space for 6 people. The Apart is quiet, and the breakfast is filling. Service was top-shelf. We checked out, left our bags, and ran around the city for the rest of the day. At about 6pm, we hailed a large radio taxi, stopped at the Apart to collect our bags, and hit EZE. Based on the manager's quick actions, we would certainly try Tribeca again next trip...
