Richmond Hotel Apartments

L' hôtel est assez éloigné du métro ...il faut aimer la marche à pied car les taxis n'acceptent pas de si petites courses... Le rapport qualité / prix est raisonnable. Attention cependant aux services proposés qui sont payants (navettes pour l'aéroport plus cher qu'un taxi) et les sèches -cheveux qui ne fonctionnent pas. Attentions aux nuisibles(cafards...) Juste en face de l'hôtel des fast-food ouverts 24/24 ainsi que les supérettes bien pratique...

Arrivée : bien reçue ! L'hôtel Appartment est bien situé, les taxis sont dispos toutes 05-10 min !!! Le personnel de l'hôtel est souriant et serviable ! Tout est proche de l'hôtel, un centre commercial carrefour pas loin, ainsi que les bouches de métro et la station de bus déservant la ville et allant jusqu'à Abu Dhabi ! Le Gold souq à proximité ainsi qu'un grand centre commercial BURJUMAN et pas loin des beaux quartiers résidenciels comme JUMEIRA, DEIRA ... Pas loin de la plage non plus !!! Bon plan pour un hôtel aux tarifs raisonnables...

Most of the staff here was rude. We checked in past midnight, and the front desk took 10 minutes to check us in because he was taking a personal call. We get to the room, and I am not impressed. The room is all tiled. There isn't carpet anywhere. The walls need cleaning and paint. The TV, remote, and phone are covered in grime. There is a kitchen with a full size refrigerator/freezer. There is no mini-bar. The bathroom was a complete mess. There is a small washer in the bathroom. The shower pressure was barely a trickle. At best, the water was luke warm. The shower curtains smelled like mold. The toilet seat was broken at the hinge and would fall off the toilet. The sink faucet would leak and fall onto the floor, and when turned off, the faucet would make a horrible rumbling noise that keeps you awake at night. But all of that is nothing compared to this. The first night, we asked for extra towels because the ones given to us had a funky smell and some had distinct stains. We also asked for extra because they do not provide hand towels. They must not understand that "towels" is plural for more than 1. So we asked for another. The next day, we threw all of our towels on the floor so we would get fresh ones during the turn-down service. After we get back to the hotel for our 2nd night, we found out they just took the towels from the floor and rehung them as if they were clean and new. It was obvious that they were not clean because they were damp, smelly, and had the same distinct stains. I was seriously debating getting another hotel after that night even though I prepaid for 3 nights. I should have done that because they picked up the towels from the floor the 2nd and 3rd nights and rehung them. It's fortunate I had my own towels at the time and I used those instead of the floor tossed ones. I would never come back to this hotel again, and would not even recommend this place to people I dislike.

although this hotel has shades of faded elegence, it is comfortable, and close to most amenities! we enjoyed our stay, despite having to wait some time for the bath, with a slow trickle to fill it!

This hotel is nothing fancy, but a lot cleaner than hotels in this price range which is the most important criteria for me. The front desk staff are good/helpful, but the reataurant is fairly mediocre yet pricey. I left my camera in the room on checkout, not realising this til I got home. Typical of the honesty found amongst Dubai people it was looked after until a friend picked it up for me. overall thumbs up for a little hotel that a lot of 3* or 4* places could learn from.

having arrived quite late in the night, to what i can only describe as a tip, the hotel was incredibly grim from the outside and the reception looked like some seedy looking motel. We were shown to our rooms, on way, we saw stained matresses just lying in the corridor, and just an accumulation of dirt everywhere. the only redeeming feature, is the rooms are spacious, but the shower curtain was stained yellow, the fridge was full of grease and the beds were not only small, but you felt disgusting just sitting in them. despite having already pre-paid for the hotel, I spent 15 min in the room and checked out the room to find another hotel.

A wonderful stay, stuff were very friendly and helpful. Just 5 minutes to bus station. and 10 dirhams to al karama metro station and its connect you to all attractions for a very cheap train tickets. no problem with the hotel at all. thanks.

Dubai is geweldig als vakantieland, en daarom voor de 2e keer hierheen geweest. Ik heb 22 nachten in dit Richmond overnacht, aangezien dit redelijk goedkoop was. Ik had er al niet veel van verwacht, en dat moet je ook zeker niet doen. Het belangrijkste was voor mij een schone kamer, en dit was ook het geval. Er mistte een aantal dingen in de kamer, maar met 1 telefoontje naar de receptie was het geregeld. Het restaurant in het hotel is prima, ook heel goedkoop. Makkelijk als je honger hebt dat je voor 3 euro een clubsandwich met patat kan bestellen! De jongens van de schoonmaak zijn ook erg aardig, en vragen elke dag of ze je kamer moeten schoonmaken en of er iets is dat je nodig hebt. Uiteindelijk heb ik een prima verblijf gehad!
