Average 5 star hotel in good location
Hotel is within walking distance to Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa, so in an excellent location. Booked a Club Room but the rooms are much smaller than other 5 star hotels in Dubai. Moved room twice due to noise problems, don't stay in a room below 8th floor if you are looking for a rest. Between the air conditioning units on one side and the English Bar on the other side of the hotel the noise levels are high so insist on a high room. Club facilities - breakfast is adequate and quiet in the lounge but if you want more choice go to the main restaurant. Evening drinks and food are generous from 7 to 9.30pm, however some staff are great and some are very slow to serve. Food was very good and lots of choice. Pool area is large, you can use any of the pools around the hotel area. Food and drink around the pool is expensive but good. Pleasant stay but would probably pick a different hotel next time around.

Excellent stay
I stayed at this hotel with my wife and son and they loved it. Hotel is across the street from Dubai mall so you can walk instead of taking a taxi. At night you can walk around the water-falls and see burj-khalifa at night. Staff was extremely nice. We stayed in the club room which included access to the rotana club as well as daily breakfast which was full of choices. Rooms were clean (almost new like), and the view was nice-we were facing the pool side.

Stay in the club room which will give you sumptuous breakfast plus afternoon and evening snacks on the 14th floor lounge. If you plan your day well you can get a lot of good free food.

Good Location but
the location is great 5 mins walking to the greatest mall ... a nice english bar/sports bar downstairs They are very cheap about the internet access actually all the rotana group are the same . its expensive to get the access in the hotel a total ripoff

Best choice you can make
After numerous trips to Dubai and several stays at this hotel I have gotten to pretty much know the city and the hotel choices available. For the service, price and location you would be hard put to find a better home away from home. Being a Club Rotana member adds to the benefits of a caring staff, great rooms and location. You could spend more at one of the spa hotels but Al Murooj will remain my choice.

Very good hotel, the room is spacious
Very good hotel, the room is spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is also very enjoyable ! The location is perfect : just a 5 minute walk away from the Dubai Mall.

"Unbeatable location for the price"
In Dubai on business, the hotel was very nice. Upon arrival, my room had two twin beds instead of one king. Other than slow internet connection everything else was great!

If you book a room there during a sale or promotion it would be worthwhile to book the upgraded room that includes internet and breakfast. As the breakfast is $30 a day, and to pay to get internet in your room is about $150 for one week.
