Schlafgelegenheit
Wir waren nur 7 Stunden im Hotel. Leider konnten wir das Frühstück nicht geniessen, da wir schon um 5Uhr ausgechecked haben.
Das Hotel ist ok für diesen Preis.

Goedkoop & vlot bereikbaar alternatief voor Manhattan/Brooklyn
Ik koos voor dit hotel omdat het een goedkoop alternatief biedt voor de waanzinnig hoge prijzen uit Manhattan en stilaan ook meer en meer Brooklyn.
Toegegeven, je zit buiten het hippe centrum maar het hotel ligt 2 straten van een metrohalte Parsons Blvd (de F lijn) en die brengt je in 35 minuten pal op Times Square (voor 31 USD koop je trouwens een 7 dagen pas die je onbeperkt toegang geeft tot de metro en busnetwerk).
Land je op JFK? Geen probleem...neem de Q3 bus aan JFK en die brengt je vlotjes tot 2 straten nét achter het hotel (Jamaica Ave). Indien je de taxi neemt kost de rit je 25-30 USD (inclusief fooi).
Het hotel ligt in een kleurrijke wijk (een bonte mengeling van Indiërs/Pakinstanezen, Chinezen en orthodoxe joden). Géén schrik, het is een veilige wijk (ja, ook 'savonds laat als je terugkeert van een dagje NYC) met hopen winkeltjes (vooral in Jamaica Avenue) en kleine restaurantjes (Afrikaans, Oosters, American Deli, Halal,...).
Het hotel geeft een plek van rust...een grote kamer en badkamer, televisie en koelkast op de kamer, airco voor als het te warm is,...). Iedere dag werd ook proper schoongemaakt.
De receptie (even kleurrijk als de wijk waarin het ligt) was méér dan hulpbereid...bellen van een taxi, tip voor een restaurant...alles werd met de glimlach gedaan.
Het ontbijt is basic maar prima: bagels, donuts, spek en eitjes, graantjes, yoghurt, fruitsappen...kortom alles om je op weg te zetten voor je dagje uit.

Parking
Location is alright, near subway station easy to get into the city. But if you have a car parking is and was a nightmare for us, but all in all the hotel was Ok for the money we paid.

Far better than I though
A spent a very good two nights here. Staff were helpful, and it was very close to great subway line to get to Manhatten.

very good value
The hotel is very close to the Metro station and then half an hour ride into Manhatten. A good choice if you want excellent value for money, a good clean hotel with complimentary american continental breakfast and don't mind being a Metro ride away from central Manhatten. We were very happy with our choice.
